Coach Rich has been coaching for over 36 years. He started his coaching career with the Wellington Swim Team as a long time assistant coach to then Head Coach Lui Echerri. He was Head Coach at the Maclay School in Tallahassee, Santaluces High School in Lanatana, and the Aqua Crest Swim Club in Delray Beach before returning to take over as Head Coach of the Wellington Swim Team in 2005.  He has received the Coach Of The Year award in Palm Beach County for the successes of the Wellington High School Swim Team.  To contact Coach Rich, you can email him at: or

Head Age Group  - Becky Richey-Level 2 coach









Coach Becky works with the Silver and Red groups and has been passionate about swimming since winning her first race in the 50 backstroke at age 10. She continued on her path of winning throughout her 27 year competitive swimming career. Becky is a three time State Champion in 100 yard Back, a 15 year FGC record holder in the 100 meter Back. All American, Who's Who in sports and Pathfinder award winner. She has been lucky enough to have been coached by the best of the best, throughout the years. Some of the many have been Marc Zubero, Michael Lohberg and Leigh Ann Fetter-Witt. Richard Whalen coached Becky during her three year State Championships at Santaluces High School. Currently Becky competes in Marathons, half marathons and 5K's. She is in pursuit of qualifying for the Boston Marathon. She participates in open water swims and hopes to one day complete an Ironman. After attending James Madison University (a division 1 school) on a full scholarship, she continued her passion for stroke technique as a private swimming instructor for her own business for 10 years. Becky now has two you children, teaches private swimming lessons and is excited to grow a dynamic team at Wellington.

Blue Coach - Jeni Hollister

Coach Jeni works with the Bronze Group, has two boys on the team, and loves every minute she spends on the pool deck coaching our youngest swimmers.  She has been working with the Wahoos Of Wellington since 2009; has a degree in Education from F.A.U.; and is also an Elementary School Teacher.  Her passion for teaching reveals itself every day on the pool deck and sets herself apart as one of the best coaches in South Florida.  She focuses on developing not just their technique, but guides them through a very critical time in their development to become the best individuals they can be.  To contact Coach Jeni, you can email her at:
