This team is a USA affiliate and competes in many meets in Northeastern Ohio. This team focuses on refinement of the four competitive strokes while providing high level training to its athletes. The ages in this program can span from five through high school. This team offers training up to 6 days a week, along with dryland and weight options before or after swim practice. The coaches are dedicated to providing the very best instruction and training for their athletes while fostering a fun and positive learning environment. Through their dedication and passion for their swimmers, coaches in this program will continue to produce some of the top athletes this area has to offer.
Orange (Beginner Age Group USA) Once a swimmer can swim a length of the pool on their front and back they have the option to join Orange Group which is the first level in the swim team track. Orange Group continues to develop upon the skills learned in White Group. This group will also begin to teach the swimmers about meet etiquette and should dedicate some practice time to racing and how a meet will run. To advance to the next group a swimmer needs to hold 10x50 @ 1:00.
Red (Advanced Age Group USA) Once a swimmer can hold 10x50 @ 1:00 they can move up to Red Group. Red Group will be working on the same skills as Orange Group but Red Group swimmers have achieved a higher level of endurance in the water and have begun to move towards a more training heavy practice. These swimmers are also at the level that they are able to handle the mentality of a swim meet better than those in the Orange Group. This group is about conditioning the swimmers to be ready to move to the top level of swimming competition that is expected in the Blue Group. For a swimmer to advance to the Blue Group they must be able to hold 20x100 @ 1:40.
Blue (Advanced Senior Group USA) Blue Group is the top group in the program and should be reflected by the caliber of swimmers in the group. This group continues to refine the skills learned in the other levels and strives to meet the high level expectations in this group. This group is able to handle two hours of varied styles of training as well as dry land training.
***Our goal is to progress swimmers from one group to the next smoothly when the athlete is ready. At any point swimmers may be moved from one group to another (up or down) at the discretion of the coaches. If a group change is initiated, the coach will fill out a form and schedule a meeting with the parent to explain the reason for the move. The parent and Head Coach must sign off before the child is moved. Moves may result in changes to practice times and fees.***
