Nick Nager

Head Swim Coach
[email protected]

I am excited for my 4th year as the Goodman Waves Head Swim Coach. I first joined the Waves at fourteen as a swimmer. Despite not being able to sleep in, I decided that swimming was the sport for me and continued along my aquatic path with East High School, the Waves, and the UW Madison’s Swim and Water Polo club teams.

As a coach, I stress the importance of hard work and self-growth while promoting a fun team atmosphere for all Waves athletes. When I'm not swimming, you can find me curled up alongside my cat, George, or bicycling around Madison in search of the perfect cheese curd. If you want to get to know me better, please come up and say hi!

Jadyn Schensky
Swim Coach

Hi I’m Jadyn! I’m excited to join the Waves swim team for my first year as a coach! I first got into swimming when I joined the Waves swim team way back in 2011 when it first started. I’ve been swimming competitively ever since for the Waves, Badger Aquatics Club, and Lafollette High School. I’m currently going into my sophomore year at UW-Madison and am majoring in Kinesiology. At UW-Madison I am also on the Club Swim Team and am planning to join the UW Rowing Team this fall! I’m looking forward to working with all the athletes and having an awesome summer!

Ella Thomas
Swim Coach

My name is Ella Thomas and I am looking forward to the Goodman Waves swim season! I have been swimming for around 8 years at Shorewood, BAC and West High School. My favorite part of swim team is cheering loudly for my teammates when they race. I have always loved the crazy, fun, and supportive atmosphere that summer swimming has to offer and I am excited to coach the younger group!

In my free time I enjoy making pottery, walking my dogs, and hammocking with my friends. Next year I will be attending UW-Madison to study Materials Science and Engineering.

Katie Matuszak
Swim Coach

I am very excited to start my first year of coaching on the Waves. I was a competitive swimmer for 10 years and started swimming on the Waves when I was 15. Previously, I swam for Monona, BAC and La Follette. Swimming has always been a big part of my life and I want to share my love of swimming with others.  I am continuing my education at UW-Milwaukee and am studying elementary education with a minor in math in hopes of being a 3rd grade teacher. At UW-Milwaukee, I play on the club lacrosse team and part of a female empowerment workout group called CHAARG. I can’t wait to get to know all of the swimmers this year!

My names is Nastassja! This is my first year coaching for the waves but I swam on the team for 10 years before this. I also swam for badger aquatics and my high school team. I am going to be a sophomore at Knox College this fall studying elementary education in hopes of being a kindergarten teacher. I also swim for Knox College and will be joining the water polo team in the fall! I am super excited to help all of the waves swimmers have an awesome summer.

Kate Ossmann

Head Dive Coach
[email protected]

Kate is a long-time friend of the Goodman Pool and Waves. She has taught lessons for over 10 summers and has been the Goodman Waves Head Dive Coach for several years. She dove for Monona Swim & Dive Club for 8 years.

During the off-season, Kate is a lead preschool teacher. Teaching kids is her passion. She loves helping kids and showing them that they can do things they didn't believe they could do. For her, there's no greater feeling then when a kid gains confidence.

Kate enjoys spending time with her son and family. They enjoy being outside, going swimming, riding bikes, and going on adventures.

Sylvia Reinebach
Dive Coach

Hi, my name is Sylvia and I'm beyond excited for my first year with the Waves dive team. I did competitive diving for 4 years with Monona, and have continued to practice in my free time or after my lifeguarding shifts at Monona, Goodman, or the UW Rec center. I've stayed friends with the people I met on dive team many years ago and we love to coach each other, watch divers, and have lots of love for the sport. I love passing on my knowledge of the sport on to others, and building up kids' confidence as they try things they've never done before!

I will be entering my second year at UW-Madison in the fall with an undecided major. In my free time, I love to listen to music, sing, read, run, ski, and ride my bike! I can't wait to see what this season brings and how much everyone will grow!
