MAC Health and Safety Plan


Methacton Aquatic Club Health and Safety Plan:

  1. All coaches will always wear masks when entering and exiting the facility and during practices.
  2. All athletes will wear masks when entering and exiting the facility and while on deck.
  3. Athletes and coaches must always maintain 6 feet distance from each other.
  4. MAC’s Covid Rep will take coaches and athlete’s temperature prior to entering the facility. Coaches and Athletes with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or more will be sent home.
  5. All MAC coaches and athletes will answer a Covid Symptom check list prior to entering the building. Any participant that answers “Yes” To the symptom check list will be sent home.
  6. The athletes and coaches shall enter Methacton High School through custodian’s door and walk immediately to the Pool once their temperature has been taken and they have answered their Covid Symptom Checklist.
  7. There will be a one-way entrance and one-way exit into the pool.
  8. Locker rooms will be limited to restroom use only. No showering or changing is permitted at any time. Athletes must arrive and depart in their swimsuit. Athletes will not be able to change or shower at the facility.
  9. There will be a 15-minute window between practices. All athletes from previous practice must exit the facility before the athletes for following practice may enter.
  10. Athletes will only be permitted to line up to enter 5 minutes before their scheduled practice time. If they arrive early, they should wait in their car until the appropriate time to enter the facility. Athletes must leave the facility immediately at the completion of any practice.
  11.  Parents/spectators will not be allowed in the facility at any time and are expected to practice social distancing while waiting for their athlete.
  12. Athletes should bring their own water bottle (already filled) and any other equipment required by their coach. Athletes will not be permitted to store their equipment bags at the facility.
  13. Athletes cannot have had contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days. Cannot have had a temperature over 100.4 degrees, a cough or difficulty breathing in the last 14 days. Cannot have traveled to any of the following states:

  15. All MAC Staff and swimmers will sign a code of conduct as well as a COVID 19 Contract.
  16. Attendance will be taken for each practice to allow for potential contract tracing.
  17. Any athlete or staff member experiencing any symptoms of a fever, recent cough, unusual fatigue, headache or has had any exposure to someone who has any symptoms should remain at home and seek medical treatment. If any athlete or staff member has a fever or symptoms of illnesses, they may not attend practice until they are 24 hours fever free with no medication. If an Athlete or a Coach has been diagnosed with COVID 19, they may not return to practice until 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared and have been fever free with no medication for 24 hours.  In addition, all symptoms, e.g. cough, shortness of breath, have significantly improved.
