Our Coaches.....In their own words!
Experience: 2018 will be my 5th summer coaching with the North Irvine Knights! I've met some amazing kids who are always willing to go out of their comfort zone and try new things. It amazes me how fast our swimmers learn and it is the best feeling when you see a swimmer conquer what he/she has been working on and gain tremendous amounts of confidence! I am also a swimmer on NOVA and was a swimmer at Irvine High School. I began swimming with the ISL Team, Greentree Gators, when I was seven years old.
Favorite Stroke: Backstroke
Fun Fact: I was born in London
ASSISTANT HEAD COACH:
Taylor "Tay" Shae
Experience: Hey all! I am happy to say that 2018 is my first year coaching for the North Irvine Knights! I am beyond thrilled to meet the team and their families, and I know it is going to be a great year! I recently graduated from CSUSB with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. I currently work in human resources here in Irvine, as well as run a non-profit that helps rescue shelter dogs. I have been swimming since I was very young for Desert Aquatics, and was on the varsity swim team all 4 years of high school. I began swimming in college, but unfortunately had to quit the team after a bad horseback riding accident. I continue to swim recreationally, and can’t wait to share what I know with young swimmers looking to grow in the sport.
Favorite Stroke: Freestyle
Fun Fact: I have a pet snake!
