Practice Schedule

Blue Group: 8:15 to 10:00 A.M. Monday through Friday

Please arrive at 8 A.M. with your water bottle and equipment, and be ready to help with lane lines, flags, the clock, and starting blocks. 

This group will consist of 13 and overs who are able to handle a more challenging workout, as well as some of our more experienced 12 year olds who have the endurance to practice with the older, experienced swimmers. I will differentiate the workout as needed, but our focus will be on preparing swimmers to compete at a high level. Practices will include a proper warmup, stroke drills, a kicking set, endurance and quality sets, and starts, breakouts, turns, and finishes to prepare for competition.

White Group: 10:00 to 11:15 A.M. Monday through Friday

Please arrive at 9:45 with your equipment and a water bottle, and be ready to practice at 10 A.M.

This group will consist of any new 13 and over swimmers, as well as 9 through 12 year old swimmers who are not quite ready for a longer workout with the junior and senior high school age swimmers and the more experienced 12 year olds. Practices will include a proper warmup, stroke drills, a kicking set, endurance and/or quality swim sets, and a focus on starts, breakouts, turns, and finishes to prepare for competition.

White Group Coaches: Coach Scott and Marlee Rickert

8 and Under Group: 11:15 to 12 noon Monday through Friday

Please arrive at 11:00 with your equipment and a water bottle, and be ready to swim at 11:15 A.M.

The 8 and Under Group will consist of swimmers who perhaps have some experience competing and are able to swim all four strokes. We will focus on expanding their mastery of the four strokes, and practices will include a proper warmup, stroke drills, kicking, stroke refinement, and starts, breakouts, and finishes to prepare for competition.

Developmental Group: 11:15 until 12 noon Monday through Friday

Please arrive with your equipment and a water bottle at 11:00 and be ready to start practice at 11:15 A.M.

The purpose of the Developmental Group is to provide novice swimmers with a basic understanding of freestlye and backstroke first, and to develop the endurance necessary to complete 25 meters of continuous swimming. Developmental swimmers may compete in meets, provided they can swim 25 meters of swimming unassisted. We will focus on kicking, stroke work, proper breathing, starts, breakouts, and finishes to prepare for competition.
