Swim Groups

GOLD TEAM  This group strives for progressive development of fundamental swimming technique for each stroke, sprint through distance for all type of competition, i.e. middleschool, high school, USS divisionals, state and beyond. This group incorporates a strength and conditioning program that is based on each swimmer's genetics and ability. Attendance and general swim meets are not required but strongly encouraged to get a complete sense of our sport.

  • Practice is usually 2 hours, 5 days/week 
  • Equipment: Kickboard, hand paddles, fins, snorkel, pull buoy. Equipment is not required but strongly encouraged at practice. 

 

SILVER TEAM  For swimmers that meet criteria: Complete 200 yards of each of the 4 legal strokes, 4 turns, IM exchange, start and finishes. This group strives for progressive development of fundamental swimming technique, aerobic development for each stroke and understanding of competitive swimming. This group incorporates strength and conditioning that is appropriate to the age and development of the swimmer with proper technique as main focus. Attendance and general swim meets are not required but strongly encouraged to get a complete sense of our sport. 

  • Practice is 1.5 hours, 4-5 days/week 
  • Equipment: Kickboard, fins and pull buoy. Equipment is not required but encouraged at practice.

 

BRONZE TEAM  For swimmers that meet criteria: Complete 25 yards of backstroke swimming and board kicking, 25 yards freestyle swimming with proper breathing technique and board kicking and able to perform a forward flip under water. This group strives for progressive development of fundamentals of swimming, learning the legal strokes, aerobic development, basic understanding of practice and working toward meet attendance. This group incorporates dryland that is geared toward body weight exercises and stretches. Attendance and general meets are not required but strongly encouraged to get a complete sense of our sport. Team hosted meets are expected by each swimmer to best show case the team our commitment to our sport. 

  • Practice is 1 hour, 4 days/week
  • Equipment: Kickboard, fins and pull buoy. Equipment is not required but encouraged at practice.
