Swim Team FAQ'S

What is going to be the philosophy of your team?  STAC's primary goal is to help all athletes to grow in character, physical development, and skill.  We believe that swimming should be a rewarding, challenging, positive and FUN experience.  Swimming, academics, outside activities, and family life are all important at Streamline Aquatics Club.

What is your Team Motto?  "Where quality people and efficiency matter"

Will my child be able to compete on High School and Summer League?  Absolutely.  We are a huge fan of both high school and summer league because it promotes team camaraderie and involves the athlete in the local community.  It also provides an additional race environment for the swimmers.  And it's a lot of FUN!

Who can answer my questions regarding the swim team?  Hopefully, the majority of your questions can be answered by reading this page!  However, feel free to reach out to Brian Greene, Head Coach, at any time with any questions you may have.  Our information can be found on the contact/locations page. We take pride is trying to make ourselves accessible 24/7!

What are the practice groups that you will be offering? For the 2015-2016 fall/winter season, Streamline Aquatics Club will be offering 5 levels of practice groups, Novice, Junior Prep 1, Junior Prep 2, Junior, and Senior.  All practice group determinations will be based on age and ability and all practices will take place at Raritan Valley Community College..

Will parents be allowed in the pool area during practice?  The parents of the novice and junior prep 1 swimmers will be allowed in a designated viewing area during practice.  Please be aware though, that younger siblings of the novice level swimmers will need to be sitting in the stands with their parents and not running around during practice. Junior Prep, Junior, and Senior Levels parents will not be allowed in the pool area at all during practice except for the last 5 minutes of practice for pickup of the swimmers.

Will the kids be doing dryland during their practice?  For the majority of the practices, swimmers will be doing some form of stretching or dryland.

What does it cost to be on the swim team?  Team pricing will be broken up for fall/winter, spring, and summer.   Fees can be found on the swim team registration/fees page.  Additional fees incurred include USA Swimming registration fee, yearly administration fee, and meet fees (paid for by your escrow accounts).  Parents can also expect to purchase equipment such as suits, goggles, and caps.

Will the team be participating in Long Course?  We will be practicing over the summer and participating in LC meets.  We do not know if there will be any LC pools that we can practice out of since there aren't a lot of those around......but yes, you can plan on swimming year round, if you choose to do so.

Will BG be coaching all the practice groups?  Yes, BG will be involved with each and every practice group, as well as all our other coaches.  No coach will have their own specific group, and all the coaches will become familiar with every swimmer on the team.  Please see our coaches page for bios that will be updated as we receive them.
