Swim Groups

The Galveston Island Swim Team offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of the Galveston Island Swim Team to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

As we live in a coastal community, we must equip our children with more than a rudimentary knowledge of water safety and swimming. Swim Teams help swimmers become strong, confident swimmers.

Masters Group - Coming Soon!

This is a newly-formed team for adults. There are two subgroups to the Masters team: those that swim for a high intensity workout and those that wish to swim laps at their own pace. Lanes are sectioned off accordingly. Kick boards and pull buoys are available.

Practice will be based on swimmer goals and abilities. Even if you are new to swimming or haven't swam for many years, we can instruct you on how to improve your stroke.

Our hope is to eventually grow this group to compete locally but also have the ability for local swimmers to workout at their own pace.

Practice Times: Monday-Thursdays 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
