PRACTICE SCHEDULE STARTING JUNE 3, 2018

  • Swimmers should attend the practice based on their age as of May 1, 2018 unless otherwise noted below.
  • Swimmers should bring a water bottle practice today.
  • Swimmers may attend ONE YMCA practice per day.
  • The schedule varies through June 1st due to no practice on Memorial Day.

NEW SWIMMER ADDITIONAL PRACTICE OPTIONS

  • Age 9-10 swimmers may attend 8 & Under practices
  • Age 11-12 swimmers may attend Age 9-10 practices
  • Age 13 & Over swimmers may attend Age 11-12 practices

 

REMINDERS:

  • Swimmers should be ready to swim FIVE (5) minutes before their scheduled practice time.  
  • NEWParents:  Please have your younger swimmers playing in the steps area out of the water TEN (10) MINUTES before their practice.  
  • Swimmers must bring a water bottle to practice.  
  • Swimmers are also required to shower for at least 10 seconds before practice.
  • Reminder: No parents on the pool deck during practice.   
  • REMINDER: If your swimmer is more than FIVE minutes late, a parent must accompany swimmer on deck.  Swimmers more than 15 minutes late may not practice.
  • Note: There is no early dismissal since the last practice ends 15 minutes before the Y closes.
  • SWIM TEAM PARENTS:  Children under 9 years old must be actively supervised by a parent or guardian, or must be enrolled in a supervised program. When children are participating in a program, a parent or guardian must remain on the premises unless otherwise noted.  Swim team parents must be on the premises if your swimmer is under 9 years old.

 

Swimmers should only attend their scheduled practice time.

  • 10 & Under swimmers should attend at least TWO practices a week.
  • 11-12 swimmers should attend at least THREE practices a week.
  • 13-14 swimmers are encouraged to attend FOUR practices a week.
  • 15-18 swimmers should attend at least FOUR practices a week.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The LTPY Penguin Swim Team offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of the LTPY Penguins to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.
