Coach David has coached for 7 years, it is his 5th year as a USA Swim Coach and he is currently a Club Coach for the Blue Wave Swim Team. He brings a lot of experience and passion to the team! His favorite aspect of coaching is seeing a swimmer progress, achieve personal/team success, and develop a passion for the sport of swimming. As the new swim season begins, he has set goals for the Riptides. His ultimate goal is to see overall team success and for our team to win Northland Conference! He would like to work on the development and mastering of stroke fundamentals with our younger swimmers and to build team leadership skills with our older swimmers. Most importantly, he wants to help our team bond as a whole, make sure each swimmer, family member, board member, coach, and volunteer plays an essential role on our team. He wants each swimmer to have fun and tell mom and dad after practice, "I love swimming at Riss Lake, I learned something that helped me today, and I enjoyed time with my friends!"
Fun Facts about Coach David:
*His favorite color is blue! He likes that he sees this color every time he coaches or sees water.
*His favorite fast food is: Jimmy Johns Gargantuan, "Americas' Largest and Fastest Made Gourmet Sandwich" especially because it meets half of his daily caloric intake!
