Narwhal Fall Swim & Polo 2020
Join us for the 6th Annual Narwhal Fall Swim & Water Polo. Our 2020 fall program is for swimmers who are currently on MCST and are able to swim multiple laps across a 25 yard pool. Practices will include swimming, diving, turns, and some water polo skills.
Coaches will be following the 2020 MCST summer COVID plan. We are limited to three 25 yard lanes for fall swim. Swimmers will be in set groups of 12. We are going to be limited to 72 swimmers (the program usually hosts between 110-130 swimmers). Space is extremely limited.
Narwhal Fall Swim will run for 8 Weeks from September 8 - October 29:
Most swimmers will need fins, a pull buoy, hand paddles, a kickboard, and a water polo ball. Specific equipment needs will be assigned for each group.
Practice 1: Monday & Wednesday 4:00-4:55 PM
Practice 2: Monday & Wednesday 5:00-5:55 PM
Practice 3: Monday & Wednesday 6:00-6:55 PM
Practice 4: Tuesday & Thursday 4:00-4:55 PM
Practice 5: Tuesday & Thursday 5:00-5:55 PM
Practice 6: Tuesday & Thursday 6:00-6:55 PM
Practice 7: Monday-Thursday 6:45-8:00 High School Only (tentative based on pool light repairs)
Fall Swim Fees: $250 for two days a week. Fees collected cover pool rental, lifeguard fees, a COVID monitor, and coaching costs. Unfortunately our prices did go up this year as there are fewer swimmers in each practice to help cover all of the associated costs.
When will you be swimming? Swimmers will be assigned to a specific practice by the coaches as soon as possible. It is likely that the younger or less experienced swimmers will be in the earlier practices, older/more experienced in later practices. You may request the days that work best for your family and we will try to accommodate those.
Possible High School Group (Not sure yet, as we wait to see if the underwater pool lights get fixed): We were hoping to run a High School only group from 6:45-8 PM Monday-Thursday. Yes, 4 days a week instead of 2. This group would be 10 minutes of dryland followed by 1 hour of swimming. The High School Group would be for students who swim or play water polo for their high school and would likely cost about $450. This is after normal pool operating hours so the costs per swimmer go up as we need to pay extra city of Mtz staff. Let me know if this interests you or if you would prefer 2 days a week from 6-7.
To sign up: Contact Keelan if you have questions or want to sign up. email@example.com Swimmers will be placed on a waitlist once we are full.
Don’t Pay Yet! Once space is confirmed you will need to pay to hold the spot. Pay by check to Keelan Kirshen or Venmo @KeelanKirshen. Once swimmers are placed in groups and payments are made refunds -$40 will be given through August 24.
So what exactly do I do if I want to sign my swimmer/s up for fall swim?
1.Email Keelan. IF you need a certain set of days (M/W or T/Th), include that in your email. IF you are interested in the possibility of a 4-day-a-week high school group, include that in your email.
2.Wait for a confirmation email if there is space for your swimmer.
3.Received confirmation? Write a check or Venmo the payment within a few days of confirmation.
4.Wait for email with info about the exact days/times for your swimmer to be released 1-2 weeks (or sooner if possible) before fall swim begins.
Winter Water Polo 2020
