Do you have to live in Voorhees to join the swim club?
No. We welcome people from Marlton, Berlin, and neighboring communities to join the pool. If you have friends or family who live nearby, invite them to contact us and take a tour of the facility.
Can my children take swim lessons without my purchasing a full Membership to the club?
Yes. We provide a Learn to Swim program that groups beginners and intermediate swimmers with experienced
swim instructors. We also schedule private lessons if one-on-one instruction is preferred. These services are
available to anyone interested, regardless of Membership in VSC.
Is Membership pricing calculated per person or per family?
We structured pricing as one flat amount that includes all people in your family/household. There is no per person
cost for membership to the pool or use of recreational facilities. Furthermore, each Member is permitted to register
a babysitter and set of grandparents who would be authorized to accompany children to the club free of charge.
How can I make payment for my Membership?
For your convenience, we accept major credit cards securely via this site for payment of the membership fee. However, a personal check made payable to Voorhees Swim Club can be mailed to P.O. Box 367, West Berlin, NJ 08091. We also accept cash payments.
How do I schedule a party at the swim club?
Members need to log onto Voorheesswimclub.com using their password, go to request a party, and fill out the information. Our party package includes 2 hours use of the pools and recreational activities as well as a private
area with tables, umbrellas, and chairs reserved for your guests. You can bring in your own food to cook on our
brand new grills or have food delivered. VSC is a great venue to celebrate birthdays, graduations, and other special events.
Can my family use the volleyball court and playground equipment all year round?
No. For the safety of our Members and the entire community, Voorhees Swim Club is closed and the property is
locked behind its perimeter fence at the conclusion of the season. We have no lifeguards on duty and no services provided between Labor Day and the following May. In May of each year, the club opens on a limited basis for the purpose of swim team practices. The club opens for all Members on Memorial Day weekend and remains open until Labor Day.
My children want to join the swim team. Besides the registration fee, what other expenses do I need to budget for?
The upfront team registration fee is the largest single payment. However, membership on the team also requires purchase of the team swim suit (and accessories such as goggles or cap). We secure discounted prices from D&Q in Cherry Hill for the Stingrays. Additionally, throughout the season we ask families to donate the baked goods we
sell at meets or to supply various items we use at team parties.
Do I need to be a Member of the pool in order for my children to join the swim team?
Yes. Family Membership in the swim club is a prerequisite for swim team. This rule is dictated by the Tri-County Swimming Pool Association, of which VSC is a member.
If my children belong to another swim team, are they still permitted to join the Stingrays?
Yes. We have several swim team members who swim for Wahoos and other clubs during the school year. To be
certain, however, contact our Head Coach to discuss your specific circumstances in order to ensure there are no conflicts with schedules or commitments.
Does Voorhees Swim Club enjoy a strong presence in the community?
We have earned a good reputation in the community as a safe and fun environment for families to enjoy their
summer. We take pride in our facility as evidenced by maintenance and upgrade projects. And we pay attention to
the environment by providing recycling receptacles. Furthermore, we strive for the betterment of our community.
For example, the swim team organizes an annual swim-a-thon as a fundraiser for the high school swim team. This season we are organizing another swim-a-thon in support of charitable causes. Our largest fundraiser is our annual 5K run/walk, from which a portion of the proceeds are donated to a local charity.
As a current Member of the swim club, would I receive a referral discount if I recruit a new family to join the swim club?
Yes! We encourage our Members to share their positive experience with friends and family. In consideration for referring a new family that purchases a membership, the swim club provides up to a $200 credit toward the
following year’s membership fee, per referral! Please see the Member Referral Page for more details.
How can we obtain guest passes for the pool club?
Members are permitted to invite guests for a daily visit. Members must be present for the duration of their visit.
Passes are available for $10 per person on weekends and $5 per person on week days. Children under 2 years of
age enter free; seniors 60 years of age pay $1. Payment is made at the front desk when you enter the club.
Are Members permitted to bring food to the club?
Yes. Members are permitted to bring drinks, snacks, and food to the club (in non-glass containers). We also permit
food to be delivered to the entrance. Additionally, for your convenience, we sell drinks, candy, and snacks at the
