Swimming is fun! Join us for the 23rd annual Trails Invitational on Saturday June 23, an annual summer event that will remind your swimmers what they love about swimming!

The outdoor meet is divided into two sessions, starting with a 6&Under category all the way to 15& up, and combines a fun social atmosphere with competitive swim for athletes of all ages and abilities.

The kids also will love seeing their favorite coaches in action for the coaches relay between sessions. In addition, there will be a cookout, smoothies and a raffle. Teams scheduled to appear include Cary Barracudas, Dundee Dolphins, Elgin Pelicans, Huntley Stingrays, Healthbridge Hammerheads, McHenry Marlins. Pitch your tent and enjoy a day at the pool with us! Facility: 6 Lane 25 Meter Course

FORMAT: Positive Check-In, Timed Finals, Scratches only.

SESSION 1 Age Groups - 6& Under,  7-8, 13-14, 15-18
COACHES RELAY
SESSION 2 – Age Groups - 9-10 & 11-12

Entry Fees: Individual Events $4.00, Relay Events: $10.00

Entry Deadline: Entries are due by 5PM June 16, 2017. Please submit to meetentries@trailsswimteam.org.

Fly-Over Starts: In an effort to save time, we will be using fly-over starts for all age groups other than 8 & under. For these age groups, all heats of individual races, other than the backstroke, will be run with fly-over starts. 8 & under events will be run with normal starts.

Rules: This meet will be conducted following the 2016 USA Swimming approved rules.

Awards:
*Heat winner awards for individual events

*Individual awards will be given to the top eighteen finishers.
*1 – 6 with medals
*7 - 12 with overlay ribbons

*Relay awards will be given to the top three finishers
*1 – 3 medals

*Team trophies will be awarded for the top three places in combined team scoring.

MEET RESULTS: Meet Backup files and results files will be emailed to each team following the meet. Teams desiring a copy of the final results must provide a USB Stick. Results will be available once scoring is closed. Results will also be available on the web at www.trailsswimteam.org after the conclusion of the meet.

Admissions: $3.00 for Morning session, $3.00 for Afternoon session, $5.00 for all day pass

Heat Sheets: $5.00 Heat Sheets, Results will be available via Meet Mobile as well as posted in the facility.

Team Areas: Signs will be posted on the east and south areas outside the pool designating team areas. This will help teams find each other and gather. We ask your assistance in maintaining your area by making sure trash and recycling are properly disposed of.

Bull Pen: There will be a bullpen for all age groups on the deck. Swimmers that fail to check in at the bullpen may be scratched.

Concessions: Concessions, provided by our local Lions Club, will be available throughout the day.

Souvenirs: A Vendor will be available selling swimmer supplies and other swimming related items.

Raffle: Raffle Prizes and baskets will be displayed throughout the day and awarded in the afternoon session.

Food Pantry: Algonquin Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food Pantry will again be accepting donations.
