Ski PE and USASA Contests

Hi Everyone!

Ski PE begins this week.  Wednesday will be grades 4th-6th.  I will be meeting Snowboard Club kids at the bottom of Chair 7 at 8:45, and we will be riding till 2:15.  Please make sure your child has lunch money or a packed lunch for the day.  Grades 7-12th has Ski PE Thursday and Friday afternoons.  Kids will meet me at the Clubhouse at the top of chair 7 at 1:15, and we will ride till 3:45

The first USASA contest we will be participating in is in Aspen/Snowmass.  This will be a Halfpipe event.  Dylan and I plan on leaving Friday the 19th with the kids early in the morning, and training that afternoon.  We will also be traing the 20th, Saturday.  The event is on Sunday the 21st.  We are working out lift ticket deals for the kids.  We would stay in Carbondale to keep costs down.  I will know more on the price of the trip depending on how many kids want to go.  Please let me know ASAP (this week) if your child is interested/wants to go.  This will be a great trip for the kids to get training on more snow, and get back into the halfpipe.  Aspen already has great park setup this winter.

The USASA contest has been cancelled for the Telluride Slopestyle Jaunary Jan. 27th-28th.  It is important we compete in the Aspen Series this year; most of the SW Series have been cancelled for the winter due to snow.  If your child plans on going to Nationals they will need to compete in Aspen this winter.

Christmas Camps

Hello Snowboard Club Members,

Christmas Camps will be the 23-24th the first week, and the second week will be 29-31st.  We will be riding from 9:30-12:30.  We will be meeting at the Club House at the top of Chair 7.

Christmas wil be extremly crowded this year on the mountain, due to lack of snow and runs available.  We will have to be very careful on the mountain, and kids must stay in control.  Be prepared for long lift/gondola lines, as well.

The kids have been riding great so far this winter!  Happy Holidays, and we hope to see all the kids for Christmas Camp!  Think Snow!!!!
