My main stroke was backstroke, but I generally swam well in most sprint events. My favourite workouts include 200 IM sets. My least favourite workouts were 5K runs.

I’ve taught swimming to a lot of kids in different levels, but coaching a swim team has always been a passion of mine.

I am looking forward this seasson to help you all reaching your goals in swimming.

Assistant Coach- Natasha Prasad

For Natasha Prasad swimming is more than your average afterschool sport, swimming has helped her grow and flourish into the person she is today.  She is certified in CPR- A, CPR-C, and is also certified in Standard First Aid.  She has completed both her Bronze Medallion and her Bronze Cross swim courses.  Natasha is also a certified Water Safety Instructor, which has been her dream from a young age.  She enjoys working with a wide variety of people ranging from pre-schoolers to the elderly but does have a soft spot for new swimmers.  At her high school she enjoys helping out her fellow peers at the school’s afterschool tutoring program.  Afterschool you can often find Natasha in the theatre where she is in charge of the sound for her high school plays.  It is through all of this that Natasha has developed strong leadership skills.  In her spare time you can often find Natasha outdoors with her camera, as she is an avid amateur photographer.  Natasha is excited to be apart of the Dynamo team!

Assistant Coach  Jimmy Song

Jimmy Song has been a competitive swimmer for over 7 years. Initially starting off as a winter club swimmer he then transferred to a summer club to balance both his passion for swimming and school. His employment with Dynamo Swim Club started in 2016. His commitment as a competitive swimmer intertwined with his experience as a competitive swimming coach has made him an invaluable asset to the club.

Assistant Coach- Annika Prasad

Annika Prasad’s passion for swimming developed at a very young age when she first began to visit the local swimming pool. Since then she’s pursued swimming and has completed all 10 levels of the Canadian Red Cross. Currently she is working towards certification towards lifeguarding and swim instruction. In preparation for becoming a lifeguard Annika has completed the following courses: Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, CPR A, and CPR C. Along with that, she has also earned a certificate in leadership. However Annika is not just a swimmer, but also a competitive basketball player who has been playing the sport for 7 years. That is where Annika learned and developed her strong skills of teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition. Annika’s strong desire for working with children is what drove her to coach for the Dynamo swim club.

"Hi! I'm Eman Dapat, a 21 year old student at UBC and I'm one of Dynamo's newest coaches! I started swimming when I was 4 years old in the Philippines and although I mainly swim to stay fit now, I swam competitively for 12 years at the regional, national, and international level. My favourite stroke is backstroke and I love swimming the 200 and 400 IM! I swam in Dynamo under Coach Lidia's help and now I'm here hoping to help the next generation of swimmers reach their goals, push their limits, and break boundaries!
