Swim Lessons

 Swim Lessons are offered at Florida Keys Community College Pool for ages 6 months and older from end of February to mid December each year.  There are 4 different levels of lessons: 

1.  Parent and Tot:  for those 6 months to 2 years.  Parents are in the water with their child.  An instructor leads the class through different skills while the parents and children interact safety in the aquatic environment.  You can drop in the class at anytime.  The class is offered Monday and Wednesday from 5:30pm-6pm. 

2.  Swim Lessons:  For those that are age 3 until 11 years.  This class is designed to teach basic swimming skills for those that have not been exposed to the aquatic environment or are ready to learn to swim.  There are a maximum of 6 participants per instructor.   Classes are offered weekdays after school.  Please see flyer for updated days and times.

3.  Blue Ribbon Swim Class:  For those that are ages 4 to 11 years.  This class is designed for those swimmers who are able to swim 10 yards while taking a breath and are able to float on their back.  There are a maximum of 7 participants per instructor.   Classes are offered weekdays after school.  Please see flyer for updated days and times.

4.  Pre Swim Team:  For those that are ages 4-11 years.  This class is designed for those swimmers who are able to swim 25 yards using rotary breathing and able to swim on their back.  The goal of this group is to pass the swim test for Bone Island Swim Club.  There is a maximum of 10 participants per instructor.   Classes are offered weekdays after school.  Please see flyer for updated days and times.
