Duke Diving Camps

The Duke Diving Camp is open to all levels of divers. We do recommend that campers be 8 years of age or older to participate in the camp.

Nunzio Esposto and Health Calhoun run the Duke Diving Camps, Nunzio is the Head Diving Coach of Duke University and Duke Diving Club and Heath Calhoun is the Head Diving Coach at Westminster University and Duke Diving Camps Director.

Facilities- Taishoff Aquatic Center and Duke University Dryland Facility. The pool has 2- 1-meter and 2- 3-meter boards, 5, 7.5 and 10-meter platforms. The dryland facility has 4 dry boards, 3 trampolines and a spring floor and is located adjacent to our pool.

Staff- The camp is coached by Nunzio Esposto, Health Calhoun and several other skilled coaches.

Housing and Supervision- Campers stay in the Duke University Dorms and supervision is provided by camp counselors that stay in the dorm with the campers. All campers will be provided a meal card and a key to their dorm room. There will be a fee associated with lost cards or lost dorm keys.

Day Campers- Day Campers should be dropped off and picked up at our dryland facility located in our IM building. Directions to the IM building can be found below. Day camper hours are 9am- 5pm each day.

Meals- All meals will be provided in the dining hall located on west campus. Our counselors will be escorting all campers to and from the dining halls for all meals.

Travel- Campers should arrive on the first day of the camp between 10am and 11am. A police debriefing will be done at 11:00am.  Check in for the dorms will be at noon. If you are arriving by flight, the flight should arrive the morning of camp.

Medical Exam and Waivers- All campers should have both our medical form and waivers signed and returned 1 week before the start of camp.

Camp Fees- Resident camper 675.00, Day Camper 500.00, nonrefundable deposit 100.00. Airport pickup 20.00 one way and 40.00 roundtrip.

Registration will be  in the IM Building, please see directions to the Intramural Building.  You will park in the Blue Zone lot click here for directions.  

 Registrations are accepted on a first-received basis from all male and female campers.

*Per NCAA rules, all camps and clinics conducted by Duke University are open to any and all entrants and enrollment is only limited based on age, grade level, gender, or number restrictions specified by each camp.

*NCAA guidelines prohibit payment of camp expenses (e.g., transportation, camp fees, spending money, etc.) by a representative of Duke University’s athletics interests.  NCAA rules also prohibit free or reduced camp admission for prospects (9th grade and above).

*NOTE: Seniors in high school are permitted to participate in Diving Camp pursuant to NCAA regulations
