Stroke Academy

The Kentwood Aquatics Club Stroke Academy offers students the opportunity to build on the swimming fundamentals acquired in swim lessons by learning stroke technique from KAC's team coaches. Students must have completed and passed Learn-to-Swim level 3 or be able to swim 25 yards without stopping.

Practices occur twice a week, for four weeks and typically occur on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In the event of a high school sporting event, the practice will be moved to Friday. Please check the calendar below to see which weeks have a Friday practice. The academy costs $65 for residents of the school district and $85 for non-residents, per four week session.

Current participants that decide to join the Aquatics Club team during the team's swim season will have the cost of their academy session credited to their swim team registration.
