Swim Groups

The Killington Sharks offers training and practice groups for swimmers of 5 -18 years old and all ability levels. It is the goal of the Killington Sharks to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.  **Swimmer's must be able to swim the length of the pool (25 yards) unassisted in order to train with the team.

Swimmers will be working on Stroke Drills, legal competitive strokes, perfecting start and turn technique, improving times, team work and HAVING FUN!

Competing at Swim Meets is Highly encouraged at a rate of once to twice a week during the month of July and early August.   Our 5 day/week practices are also highly encouraged, but not mandatory.

 

Pre Senior Group (5 - 10 years)

Athletes entering this group must display a desire to begin training on a more committed basis. Competition at swim meets is expected in this group. The 5 day/week practices are 1 hour long and help swimmers gain more confidence in the water.

Workout Days/Times: Monday - Friday  9:15 - 10:15 am

 

Senior Group (11 - 18 years)

Athletes entering the Senior group must display a strong desire to perform at the highest level they are capable of. Training for 1 hour and 15 min. is geared towards individual talents, although a strong aerobic endurance factor is present. Athletes are expected to compete at meets and help and encourage younger swimmers to participate.  Senior swimmers are expected to show team work and to be positive role models!
