Community Aquatics Summer Swim Lessons
North Penn Community Aquatics will be offering three levels of lessons this summer. Due to COVID guidelines the instructor will be teaching from the deck and the class size will be limited. We are not able to offer the pre-beginner or the beginner levels at this time.
The levels offered this summer for 7 - 13 year olds:
To be enrolled into this level the swimmer must have knowledge of the overarm stroke (freestyle) with breathing to the side. Skills that will be taught during the Freestyle/Backstroke Development level will be perfecting the freestyle stoke with a stroke/stroke/breathe to the side technique, tread water, skull and kick, diving progression and backstroke.
Advanced Stroke Development
To be enrolled in the Advanced Stroke Development level the swimmer must know the freestyle and backstroke. Skills taught at this level will be elementary backstroke, side stroke, breast stroke and diving progression.
Continued Stroke Development
The swimmer must have completed the Advanced Stroke Development class. Skills taught at this level will be butterfly, freestyle and backstroke flip turn, breaststroke and butterfly turn, IM training and endurance training.

Session 2 - Monday, June 28 through Friday, July 2, 2021
No Lessons the week of July 5 due to the 4th of July holiday
Session 3 - Monday, July 12 through Friday, July 16, 2021
Session 4 - Monday, July 19 through Friday, July 23, 2021
Session 5 - Monday, July 26 through Friday, July 30, 2021
***Please be advised: Swim lessons will be taught from the deck. Instructors will wear a face mask or face shield and will maintain a six foot distance from the swimmers. Face masks must be worn as soon as you exit the car in the North Penn High School parking lot. Swimmers and one parent will enter the building through the pool lobby doors. Temperatures will be taken with a no touch forehead thermometer along with answering a COVID questionaire in the pool lobby before entering the pool area. Swimmers, along with one parent, will sit in the first set of bleachers a soon as you enter the pool area and maintain a six foot distance from the other parents/swimmers. North Penn locker rooms are closed. Swimmers are not permitted to change in the locker rooms. Please have the children wear their bathing suits to and from the pool under their clothing. Rest room facilities will be available in the pool lobby. There is no changing in the restrooms and no changing in the bleachers. All parents and swimmers will exit the facility after their lessons through the pool lobby doors.
Please bring a Ziplock bag with your child's name clearly written on it. Their face masks will be taken off, placed in the Ziplock bag and then placed on the side of the pool before entering the water. As soon as the swimmer exits the pool, they will place their masks back on and wear them out to their car.
