North Penn Community Water Polo
12 and under program
This program is designed for girls and boys ages 7 through 12 who are developing an interest in the sport of water polo. The primary goal is to promote interest in the sport of water polo, introduce and improve skills and offer the athletes an opportunity to play games. The coaches are excited for the upcoming season and look forward to working with the girls and boys who have participated in the program over the years, and the ones just joining us this spring. For those who have not participated in the past, we hope you consider the sport of water polo. The sport will enhance your endurance, provide fun and excitement, and provide opportunities to meet outstanding individuals.
We are certainly proud of our success as numerous individuals who have participated in our program have decided to play the sport throughout their career. For example, a number of players have enjoyed the sport in high school, college, masters, and now are coaches and referees.

The North Penn Community Water Polo spring program is designed to give North Penn High School water polo players and potential North Penn High School water polo players aged 13- 18 an opportunity to improve their water polo skills. The goals of the program are to develop individual skills, to read game situations with and without the ball, to respond/react with the appropriate skill execution, and to recover with off the ball movement to set – up further game involvement. All boys and girls are encouraged to participate. No experience is necessary, although participants should be able to swim 50 yards.
All practices will be held at NPHS Natatorium.
All athletes should plan to attend as many practices as possible. Although practice is not mandatory, skill development and team success requires hours of practice in order to be a high achieving, competitive team. Transportation will be provided for NP middle school students after morning practice and before afternoon practice.
The AWP Main Line Water Polo League competition dates are held on Saturdays and Sundays.
The cost of the program is $192.00/ player, AWP annual membership ($50.00/ player) and annual NPCAP membership fee (see below). AWP membership should be renewed at www.americanwaterpolo.org.
