Head Coach Ashley House Smith

Hello Gators! My name is Ashley (House) Smith and I am returning for my 4th year as Head Coach for the Gators. For 20 years I have been coaching swimmers all the way from blowing bubbles to the national level. In my tenure I have coached 10 & Under swimmers to several state titles, coached middle school swimming for Sunman-Dearborn Middle School (SDMS) for 5 years, as well as assisted with East Central High School (ECHS) Swim team for a few years. I have been a swim lesson instructor for 19 years in both group and private lessons. Back in the day I was a competitive swimmer for East Central Swim Team (ECST), SDMS, and ECHS in Southeast Indiana; so I am a Northern Kentucky transplant for the past 4 years! In high school I was a state qualifier all four years and I also went on to swim in college at Baldwin Wallace College (now University) in Berea, OH. My parents were my coaches for most of my swimming career so I bring with me the experience and belief of work hard-play hard for success as a swim team family. My brother Kyle swam for Purdue University and Queens University and my youngest brother Grant is swimming for Arizona State University. I currently work for Covington Independent Public Schools as a School Psychologist. I have a wonderful husband, Brady, 2 daughters (Aven-7, Finley-11), 2 sons (Mason-14, Zachary-15). My family and I are very excited to be back for our 4th season with the Gators!!

I am a 2019 Covington Catholic graduate. I have been swimming for 12 years. I started out swimming NKSL at Brookwood Swim Club. A few years later I began swimming for the Northern Kentucky Clippers, which I still do today and have been there for 10 years. When I was 12 I joined Five Seasons and have been off and on with NKSL since then. I am currently a part of the National Team at the Clippers. I am a 3x NCSA qualifier and a 2x Summer Junior National Meet qualifier. I am a 4x High School Regional Individual Champion along with 3x High School Regional Relay Champion, and have placed top 8 in all my individual events since sophomore year. And in the fall I will be attending the University of Cincinnati where I will be swimming and an undecided Business major.

Assistant Swim Coach Mallory Ryan

My name is Mallory (Neltner) Ryan and this is my first year as one of the assistant coaches at Five Seasons! I’ve been coaching/teaching lessons in some capacity almost every year since I was 15 years old. I grew up swimming for the Fort Thomas Swim Club, where I still hold 14 individual records, and oddly enough, I still hold 3 NKSL league records, as well. I began my college swimming career at Louisiana State University, before transferring after my sophomore year to Western Kentucky University (where I met my husband), to be closer to home. I’ve been looking to get back into coaching for the last couple of years, but have been very busy building our family. I have an amazing husband, Greg, who is a realtor for Huff out of their Florence office and 3 wonderful children, Will (5), Macy (3), and Andrew (2). We also have a Boykin spaniel named Beans, who is the world’s greatest dog, and a Beta fish named Ollie. I’m a special education teacher at Ryle High School, and in my free time, I love to be at our lakehouse on Williamstown Lake and doing all things boating. Looking forward to a great season with the Gators!

Assistant Swim Coach Luka Kampinga

Hi! My name is Luka Kampinga and I will be joining the Gators coaching staff for the first time this summer as well as swimming in the 15-18 age group. My swimming career began with the Five Seasons Gators at the age of 5, swam for several year-round USA swimming teams, and I just finished my freshman year of high school at Covington Catholic where I was able to qualify for and represent my team at the KHSAA State Meet. I really enjoy working with children and am excited to be on board to help foster the same love of swimming in our younger Gators that I have.
