How To Join
The Haines Dolphins pride themselves in the fact that swimming is open and accessible to all students of all abilities. Swimmers are divided into workout groups based on age and ability, so everyone is able to swim with their friends at an appropriate skill level.
Before your swimmer can be placed in a group and attend practice, registration, waivers, and fee payment setup must be filled out by a parent or guardian. These can be found on the home page by clicking the Team Registration button.
If your student can already swim from one end of the pool to the other, they will be placed in one of our Spinner, Pilot, or Orca groups after coach evaluation.
If your student can not swim yet, they will be placed in our Little Dolphins learn-to-swim program if they meet the requirements of being 5 years old and being able to fearlessly dunk their head underwater on their own. There is a high demand for our learn-to-swim program, and often times a waiting list. Please check with a coach for more information on availability.
If your student is younger than 5, or not yet comfortable with the water, they may not be ready to be on swim team. Check with pool staff for lessons availability.
