Why can't I see something on the website?

Make sure that you are logged into the site.  You must be logged in to see all of the tabs and to sign up for volunteer shifts and meets.

How long is the season?

The 2021 season runs from June 1st – July 24th.

When are practices?

Practices are held at both the HOA2 pool and the CPNII pool. Practices are held at 7 am and 8 am at both pools. 

What are the requirements for joining the Castle Crocs?

Swimmers must be residents of Castle Pines (North) under the age of 18 and be able to swim one length of the pool unassisted.  

Why do swimmers have to be able to swim 25 meters unassisted?

All swimmers must be able to swim one length of the pool unassisted because coaches are not always in the water within an arm’s reach to help.  Safety is our first priority, and by setting this requirement, we ensure that all swimmers can at least make it to the other side without the help of a coach.

How do I register my swimmer for swim team?

Please follow these steps:

  • Click on the start registration tab located either on the right-hand side of the picture with the cart icon or on the left-hand side of the page above the fox logo.
  • If you are a returning swimmer, login using your existing email and password. It will give you a prompt to reset your password if you have forgotten it. You can update your email during the registration process if you need to.
  • If you are new to the team, you will have to contact the Crocs Board at [email protected]

Where do I mail/drop off my volunteer check deposit?

PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR $300 VOLUNTEER DEPOSIT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Checks can be mailed or dropped off to:

Is my swimmer required to have a team swimsuit?

Team suits are NOT required for swimmers, although most swimmers do choose to purchase one.  

When are swim meets?

Other than Prelims, swim meets are held on Saturday mornings.  For the 2021 season, there is no requirement to attend meets. However, meets are fun, rewarding, and encouraged! Swimmers are encouraged to not only complete in their favorite events, but also try something new.  To encourage this, we have the “I Swam Them All Challenge” each year.  If swimmers swim each individual event they are eligible for at a meet by the end of the season, they will earn a special swim cap.   It doesn’t matter what their times are or even if they are disqualified, we just want them to challenge themselves.  Please see our Meets page for specific meet dates.

How do I sign my child up for meets?
You must declare your child for meets no later than Tuesday night prior to the meet. 

  • Make sure that you are logged in. 
  • Click on the meet and even sign up button on the right-hand side of the pictures.
  • Find the listed meet that you want to sign up for.
  • Click on the attend/decline of sign-up button.
  • Click on the name of the child you wish to declare.
  • From the drop-down declaration menu select yes or no.
  • If you select yes, list in the notes portion if your child is not available or does not want to swim relays. If you do not say that your child is unavailable or does not want to swim relays we expect them to be there. PLEASE ONLY LEAVE A NOTE IF YOUR CHILD IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR RELAYS. 
  • Next click on the box (up to 3) to the left of the best time column for the 3 individual events that your child would like to swim in the meet. You can also only select 1 or 2 events if your child does not want to swim three events. REMEMBER THIS IS WHAT YOUR CHILD IS REQUESTING, COACHES MAY MAKE CHANGES AS THEY SEE FIT. Click save changes.   
  • If you select no, click save changes and you are finished. Your child will not be entered to swim in this meet.
  • You will need to repeat the above steps for each child!

What do I do if my child will not be at a meet?
You must declare your child for all meets, even if they are not swimming, no later than Tuesday night prior to the meet.  

  • Make sure that you are logged in. 
  • Click on the meet and even sign up button on the right-hand side of the pictures.
  • Find the listed meet that you want to sign up for.
  • Click on the attend/decline of sign-up button.

What do I do if I had my child signed up to attend a meet, but they can no longer attend?

Please let us know as soon as possible if your child can no longer attend. If you know this prior to the Tuesday night before the meet you can change your commitment on the website by following the steps below. If it is past Tuesday night prior to the meet, please contact Coach Emily AND the Castle Crocs Meet Manager at [email protected]

  • Click on meet and event sign up on the right-hand side of the pictures.
  • Find the meet that you can no longer attend and click on edit commitment.
  • Click on the name (s) of the child(ren) that you need to change.
  • Change declaration from yes to no.
  • Save changes
  • You will need to do the above steps for each child no longer attending. 

What if my child wants to swim in different events than they originally signed up for?

If it is prior to the Tuesday night before the meet you can change their selection by following the steps below. If it is after the Tuesday night prior to the meet, changes cannot be made to their requested events. 

  • Make sure you are signed in.
  • Click meet and event sign up.
  • Click on the edit commitment button under the meet that you would like to change.
  • Click on the swimmer's name.
  • Deselect the events your swimmer does not want to swim and select the events your swimmer does want to swim up to a maximum of 3 events. 
  • Click save changes. 
  • You must do the above steps for each child wishing to make changes. 

What if my swimmer can only swim part of a meet?

It is fine that your child participates in only part of a meet.  However, it is VERY important to let the coach know this ahead of time. You can note what time your swimmer must depart (or when they will arrive if they are arriving after the meet has started)  in the “notes” section when you commit to the event.

Where do I find the meet programs and meet results?

Make sure you are signed in. Click on the “Meets” tab at the top of the website. Select the information you are looking for from the drop-down items. Please note that we post the programs and results as soon as we have them, but we are often waiting on files and information from other teams. It is not unusual for meet programs to not be posted until late Friday night. You must be logged in to view the results; this is for your child's privacy.

What are the requirements for volunteering?

If your child is swimming in a meet, your family is required to cover a volunteer shift at THAT meet. You must fulfill these volunteer requirements for our meets to run smoothly and to prevent your $300 volunteer deposit from being cashed.  If you do not see a job that works for your family schedule, you have a variety of choices: trade with a friend/neighbor, hire someone to work your shift, contact a Board Member as we sometimes have a list of available high school students looking to fulfill volunteer hours, or do not swim.   Should your swimmer complete in Prelims, Championships, or All-Stars a representative from the family is responsible for volunteering one shift at each.

How do I sign up for my volunteer shifts?


You must sign up for shifts by the Thursday night prior to the meet. The system will lock you out after Thursday. If you want to try to pick up a shift at the last minute please contact the volunteer coordinator to see if there are openings.

  • Make sure you are signed up.
  • Under Swim Meets in the middle of the page under the pictures will be the name and date of the meet.  Under that will be a button that says “job sign up.”  Click on that.
  • Click the box to the right of the job and time period you would like to work.
  • Make sure you click the green sign-up button at the bottom of the page to save your assignment.
  • Very important – make sure you find the volunteer coordinators by 7 a.m. on the morning of the meet to receive your name tag and credit for working the meet.

How do I know if my swimmer is eligible to swim at Championships or the All-Star Meet?

In mid-July, there is a preliminary meet, “Prelims,” in which swimmers who have competed in at least one meet are eligible to participate.  The top 12 finishers in each age group for boys and girls, across all teams in Division B will qualify for Championships.  All-Stars is a separate meet requiring that swimmers have qualifying times in order to complete.  A swimmer can secure a qualifying time at any of the meets during the season, including Prelims and Championships.

Do you think my child should swim Prelims, especially if they are seeded low and probably won’t make finals?

Yes.  Prelims is a valuable experience and a culminating activity to a season of hard work.  It is not just about making finals, but improving their best time.  Even if a swimmer doesn’t qualify in an individual event, they may still be eligible to swim on a relay at Championships.  

Do we still have practice while Prelims is going on?

Yes, we have divided the coaching staff up so some are at practice and some are at the meet.
