  • New athletes must be proficient enough in the water to not become a drowning hazard. Unassisted front crawl, back crawl, and treading abilities are mandatory.
  • Age varies within the groups. Group assignment is based upon ability; however, swimmers will not be placed in a group with too great an age difference.
  • Swim meet participation is not required but encouraged. Coaches will determine swim meet participation based upon each individual’s goals.
  • Monthly dues for families with athletes in multiple groups will default to the highest billing rate for the first athlete.
  • Discounts are available to families with Active Military Duty and those receiving free or reduced lunches. Annual verification is required.
  • OSC has a summer and winter shutdown of approximately two weeks and prorates those months. OSC does not offer per diem proration for practice cancellations due to weather, pool closures, pool availability, or Coach’s sudden unavailability. OSC makes every effort to prevent practice cancellations.
  • All athletes must register with USA Swimming each year.

Your practice group will be assigned by the coaches. If you have questions, please contact a coach or board member.
