The Junior II group is for swimmers ages 11-14 and will act as a transition group from Age Group to Senior level swimming. Practices will focus on emphasizing technique, building endurance/speed, and learning advanced race strategies. Dry land training will focus on core strength and swimming specific exercises.

Six practices are offered each week. Swimmers are encouraged to make three per week.

Qualifications
|
New swimmers must try out in September. Coaches will look for four legal strokes and may time swimmers in a few events.
Coaches will decide which swimmers will move from within the team.

Meet Requirements
|
Swimmers in the Junior II group are encouraged to attend one swim meet a month and all championship meets for which they qualify (MIT in December, Junior Olympics in March and July, and the Silver and Bronze Championships in the spring.)
