MINOR ATHLETE ABUSE PREVENTION POLICY
USA SWIMMING in partnership with the Center for SafeSport has drafted the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (MAAPP). Every Olympic Sport governed by a National Governing Body is required by the Center for SafeSport, as directed by the US Congress, to adopt and train athletes (swimmers), non-athlete members (coaches and officials) and other Applicable Adults (marshals, timers, Board Members, parents and occasional volunteers) on the content and importance of these policies.
Douglas Dolfins Swim Team has adopted the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (MAAPP) effective immediately. All families and coaches must acknowledge this policy on an annual basis, or the swimmer will not be allowed to participate in team activities (practice and swim meets).
