Thank you for your interest in joining The Claremont Club Swim Team.
Swimmer must be legal in all four competitive strokes; butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle. Any swimmer that doesn’t have a solid foundation in all four strokes will be asked to get additional training before returning for another tryout.
Currently, a few of our training groups are at capacity for safe training. If a swimmer demonstrates legal strokes during the tryout, it does not guarantee a spot on the team. If the group that is suitable for the tryout is at capacity, we will add the swimmer to a waitlist. TCC Swim will notify the family when a spot becomes available.

Dues and Fees:
$130.00 per month/swimmer
$ 50.00 Beginning escrow fee
$ 72.00 USA Swimming registration
$ 10.00 team transfer fee (if transferring from another team)
$300.00 1st child per year
$225.00 2nd and 3rd child per year
We typically charge half of Booster fee in October and remaining balance in November however, we are not charging Booster fees at this time.
Tryout Assessment Form
What to bring to the tryout:
Swim suit (come dressed in suit as there is no changing allowed at TCC), cap, goggles and towel
Meet the coach at the north fire gate entrance of TCC approx. 5 mins. prior to your scheduled tryout time.
Due to COVID-19, only the swimmer will be allowed on the pool deck.
The tryout will consist of one of the sets listed below.
Once the tryout is complete, all information and paperwork will be communicated to the parent outside the north fire gate.
The tryout process takes approx 20 min. to complete.
#1 – No swim team experience (likely placement- Junior development or Junior intermediate)
#2 – Summer league, precomp, or minimal swim team experience (likely placement – Junior development or junior intermediate)
4 x 50 freestyle @ 1:10
4 x 50 IM order @ 1:20
100 kick (sprint)
100 freestyle (easy)
#3 – Currently holds Blue or JO times, high school swimmer, or has been on their current team for at least 2 years (likely placement – Junior advanced, junior olympic, senior development, or senior group)
6 x 100 (descend 1-3, 4-6) @ 1:45
4 x 50 kick (build) @ 1:00
4 x 100 IM @ 1:40
1 x 100 sprint (choice)
200 freestyle (easy)
