The USA Swimming Safe Sport Club Recognition program allows a USA Swimming member club to demonstrate its commitment to creating a healthy and positive environment free from abuse for all its members through the development and implementation of club governance measures, Safe Sport policies and reporting mechanisms, Safe Sport best practices and training to athletes and parents.

USA Swimming's and EBA's top priority continues to be keeping athletes safe. Safe Sport is USA Swmming's comprehensive abuse prevention program and provides tools for swim clubs to educate their members and intervene in risky situations.
Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Program(MAAPP) is the enhancement imposed by the U.S. Center for SafeSport and must be impleted by June 23, 2019. The policy addresses risk areas that present opportunites for abuse to occur.
This policy covers five (5) areas:
1- One on One Interactions
2- Travel: Local & Team
3- Social Media & Electronic Communication
4- Locker Rooms & Changing Areas
5- Massages & Rubdowns
MAAPP will apply to all adults who interact with and have direct and frequent contact with minor athletes, including adult athletes. The language used in the policy is Applicable Adult. All Applicable Adults will be required to follow MAAPP.
