Swim Groups

The Huron Parks and Recreation Wobbegongs (HPRW) offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of the HPRW to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

**Prices do not include the annual USA Swimming registration fee ($65 year round/ $35 seasonal)

 

**Head Coach has final say in group registration. Please contact Coach Bonnie with questions of placement. 

Senior Group- $200.00

​Practice Schedule:

​Beginning June 11th for duration of summer - ​

Monday - Friday 7:00 -9:00 a.m. and Tuesday/Thursdays 8:00 - 9:00 p.m. 

The Senior Group is for athletes 19 and under. The focus of this group will be to prepare athletes for State Championships, Sectional meets and Zone Competitions. 

Team Commitment: Must participate in 5 practices per week unless excused by coach in advance. Must attend as many swim meets as possible and highest competition qualified for. Swimmer will meet with head coach to discuss seasonal goals; Actions show dedication, must be positive role model for younger swimmers.

 

Junior Group – $140

 Beginning June 11th for duration of summer - 

Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

The Silver Group is for athletes 14 and under. The focus of this group will be to prepare athletes for State or Seasonal Championships.

Team Commitment: Swimmers will participate in 4 per week unless excused by the coach in advance. Swimmers will try to attend 2 swim meets a month.

 

 

Pre-Team-  $70
Starting June 11th for duration of summer - 

Monday and Wednesdays 8:00 - 9:00 a.m.  

Open to swimmers 10 years old and under who are working to become more dedicated in the sport. Pre-team is intended to develop stroke technique and turn work, master basic aerobic training and qualification for State Championship meets. 

Seasonal Goals:

· Able to swim 50 yards of Freestyle and Backstroke

· Freestyle: good head position, breathing to both sides

· Backstroke: good body position, alternating arm recovery with flutter kick

· Breaststroke: legal pull

· Butterfly: legal kick

· Streamline off walls
