A.S.K. Swim offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of A.S.K. Swim to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

This is our entry level group. An athlete needs to be able to swim the length of the pool, demonstrating rhythmic breathing, and then to be able to swim a length of the pool on their back. We encourage swimmers who have passed level three in lessons to give us a try.
White Group Coach:
Workout Days/Times: Magic City Campus Pool
Short Course Season: Practice time: 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Long Course Season Practice time: 4:45 - 5:45 p.m. Minot State University
From the White group, athletes move into this group. Athletes in this group focus mainly on learning four legal competitive strokes, having fun, and perfecting start and turn techniques. Swimmers are working more on swimming the 200 IM, 200 Free and 500 Freestyle. Swimmers should plan to attend 4 - 5 practices per week.
Maroon Group Coach:
Short Course Season: Practice Time: 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Magic City Campus Pool
Long course season: Practice time: 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. Maroon I
4:15 - 5:45 p.m. Maroon II
From the Maroon group, athletes move into the Black group. Athletes in this group are usually at least 12 years old and have completed the Maroon Group move-up skills list. This group is exposed to training in preparation for the 500 Freestyle and 400 Individual Medley, and the 200's of the non-free strokes. Swimmers should plan to attend 5-7 practices per week. Competing at swim meets is highly encouraged at a rate of about once per month.

Short Course Season: Practice Time: 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Long Course Season: Practice time: 3:00 4:45 p.m.
Minimum age for entry into this group is 12 (girls) or 13 (boys). Athletes entering the Senior group must display a strong desire to perform at the highest level they are capable of. Training is geared towards individual talents, although a strong aerobic endurance factor is present. Athletes in the Senior group are directed towards making their Sectional Time Standards. Swimmers should plan to attend at least 8 practices per week. Minimum training sets include:
