BLAZE SWIM CLUB INFORMATION
The Blaze Swim Club is a year round club with four sessions (Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer) and uses Team Unify to assist with registration, swim meet registration, tracking swimmer times, and more.
If a current session is closed online you may call the CE Office at 278-0552 to see if you can still register for the season and/or to pay. Season payments need to be made before the child begins practice.
Anyone can become a member of the Blaze Team if they have achieved level three of American Red Cross swim instruction and can swim 25 yards unassisted.
The focus of practice will be on stroke development, turns, endurance conditioning and meet fundamentals. Members will practice four times per week and have the opportunity to swim local meets and/or USA meets.
Meet or Splash Fees: Set by hosting site to swim in events.
Coaches Fee: This fee may be charged to assist with costs associated with sending a coach to some USA meets where a large number of Blaze swimmers have registered.
USA meets do have a fee called a splash fee that is paid to the host team and individual race fees. Generally the splash fee is $5 and race fees are $3/race entered. Swimmers do not have to participate in any of these meets, but if they do, then you as the parent would be responsible for those fees. After you register for meets through Team Unify, your meet fees will be added to your account. You will receive monthly invoices if you have a balance on your account.
Team practices will be divided by age groups with 10 and under for one practice group and 11 and older for the second group. At meets, members will swim according to USA divisions (8-under, 10-under, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, and 17-18).
USA membership is the responsibility of the parent. Blaze coaches will work with parents to send in forms and payments as a group to help in ensuring proper paperwork is complete prior to any meets.
