coaching organization, "The American Swimming Coaches Association." The ASCA is thought by many to be the 'coach of the American Swimming Team' by motivating and leading various issues and entities around the world in swimming. Coach Warner led the effort toward adopting a code-of-ethics in the late 1980s. He authored the document that is still used today. In 2005 and 2006, Chuck served as president of the ASCA.
Coach Warner has been a renown speaker at national and international forums on various subjects of professional coaching. He has been the keynote speaker at the American Swimming Coaches Association World Clinic, spoken at the Swedish National Team Coaches Clinic, the World Swimming Championships, the United Arab Emirates, as well as around the United States. He has served as a consultant for several teams, including America's most successful club team in history, the Mission Viejo Nadadores in 2013. His landmark book of Four Champions, One Gold Medal that was published in 1999 was a great gift to the world of competitive swimming. He followed up in 2012 with one of the most popular swimming books around the world, ...And Then They Won Gold: Stepping Stones to Swimming Excellence Volume I.
In the summer of 2010, Coach Warner turned his efforts toward helping families and children in developing the company ARETE Aquatic Serivces. Families are served through a swim school and teaching children how to swim, creating magnificent swim camps & clinics, working with 'masters swimming' and tri-athletes and creating seminars and authoring books. His positive approach to learning and growing is sure to influence many, many more people around water in the years to come.
