The Mantas Swim Club offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of the Mantas Swim Club to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

Every Mantas Swim Club Athlete Member must have a USA Swimming Year Round ($66) or Seasonal ($38) membership.  Seasonal memberships apply only to April - July. 

Novice: Lead Coach, Paul Vasquez/ McKenna Jones

Monthly Cost: $78
This level is designed for the young swimmer to give an
introduction to competitive swimming. Swimmers may not be familiar in all
four competitive strokes. Emphasis is placed on teaching swimmers the four
competitive strokes through drills and games. Novice swimmers are
encouraged to participate in C/Novice meets and should try to come to 2-4
practices a week.

Swimmers must have the ability to complete 25 yards unassisted swimming to begin with Novice.

 

Age Group:  Lead Coach, Daisy Felty/ Matt Van Fossen Asst. Coach

Monthly Cost: $98
This level is designed for the young swimmer who is familiar
with all four competitive strokes, but still is inexperienced in competitive
swimming. More emphasis is placed on learning more fundamentals of
competitive swimming, like starts and turns. More advanced meets are
encouraged. Age-group swimmers should try to come to 4 practices a week.

At times, Age Group may be split into two groups, AG I and AG II.  The AG I and AG II swimmers train under the same coach for practice and at times may be swimming same sets and workouts for technique purposes. When more specific training ideals need to be reached the groups will split.

 

 

Senior I:  Lead Coach, Alex Lindstrom, Luke Weyandt Asst. Coach

Monthly Cost: $113
This training group is designed for the older (Middle School to High School), more competitive swimmer who is at a maturity level to start more endurance based workouts.  There is still a strong emphasis on stroke technique with more advanced drills and workouts.  Goal setting becomes an important part of the swimmers preparation.  Participation in meets is encouraged as a way for coaches to evaluate the swimmers progress.  Senior I athletes should try to attend 5 practices a week.

 

Senior II: Lead Coach, Alex Lindstrom

​Monthly Cost: $113 (April/May) $153 (June/July)
This level is for the most advanced competitive swimmer where emphasis is placed on goal setting, endurance training, and continuous refinement of the swimmers technique.  More specific race strategies are emphasized in training.  Technique remains an important part of practice with the goal of the swimmer becoming more of a complete athlete through competition. Training is focused on the end of season meets.  Swimmers will develop a season plan through goal setting, training, and meets. Practices for each individual swimmer may vary after meeting with the Coaching staff and going over the swimmers goals for the season.  Meetings and communication between the athletes/coaching staff and parents/coaching staff is a very important part of the season.  Through demonstration of leadership skills both in and out of the water, it is the expectation that the Senior II Athletes be the example of Mantas Swim Club.
