The goal of WHAT is to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

DEVELOPMENTAL

Requirements

  • 10/under swimmers  
  • Attend a minimum of two days per week.

Expectations

  • Develop a strong base of stroke technique
  • Limited Yardage- Quality over Quantity
  • Introduce time standards 
  • Videotaping
  • Prepare athlete for Age Group Team

AGE GROUP

Requirements

  • 12/under swimmers  
  • Attend a minimum of two days per week.

Expectations

  • Build stroke technique from Developmental Team
  • Quality over Quantity
  • Introduce goal setting
  • Videotaping


AGE GROUP PREMIER

Requirements

  • 13/under swimmers  
  • Attend a minimum of four days per week
  • Expected to attend Saturday morning practices

Expectations

  • Continue stroke technique from Age Group
  • Quality over Quantity
  • Goal setting
  • Race strategy/Pace training
  • Videotaping

SENIOR PREP

Requirements

  • 14/under swimmers  
  • Attend a minimum of four days per week
  • Expected to attend Saturday and Sunday morning practices

Expectations

  • Continue stroke technique from Age Group Premier
  • Quality over Quantity
  • Goal setting
  • Race strategy/Pace training
  • Videotaping
  • Prepare athlete for Senior level training

SENIOR

Requirements

  • 13 years of age and older  
  • High School/Prep school swimmers are expected to swim at least three practices/week with WHAT during high school swim season
  • Expected to participate in Strength and Conditioning Training Program
  • Expected to attend morning workouts

  • Nutrition

SENIOR PREMIER

Requirements

  • Must have a CT Senior Championship Cut/Head Coaches Discretion
  • High School/Prep school swimmers are expected to swim at least 4 practices/week with WHAT during high school swim season
  • Required to participate in Strength and Conditioning Program
  • Expected to attend morning workouts

  • Goal setting- Senior Champ and Sectional Cuts, NCSA/USA Junior Nationals, USA Senior Nationals
