**Although not required for the try-out, it's helpful if children have goggles and wear a swim cap if their hair is past their ears.  These items will be required should they join the team.  Also, girls should wear a one-piece swimsuit and it's preferable if boys wear a speedo or jammer type suit for the try-out.  Again, not required for the try-out although they will be required if you join the team.  (For boys, board shorts are allowed for the try-out, however, they will not be allowed for team practices.)
