Try-Outs

Thank you for your interest in Dolphin Aquatics.  All of our groups require an evaluation before completing the online team registration.

Please read through the minimum swim requirements listed below.  If your child can meet these minimum requirements and you would like to schedule a tryout, email the following information to our Team Administrator [email protected] and she will schedule your evaluation. Although we would like to accept all children on the team, we must make sure that each child meets the minimum swim requirements.

  • Swimmer's Full Name

  • Swimmer Date of Birth

  • To the best of your knowledge, can they meet the minimum swim requirements according to their age (listed below)?

  • Does your swimmer have any swim team experience?  If so, what team?

  • What does your swimmer want to accomplish with DA?  For example, swim for fitness only, want to be on a swim team and compete, looking to swim in high school, etc.

Minimum Requirements for trying out with Dolphin AquaticsIf your swimmer cannot meet the minimum swim requirements, we will suggest that they enroll in a lesson program and then schedule an evaluation when they have mastered the minimum swim requirements.

**Although not required for the try-out, it's helpful if swimmers have goggles and wear a swim cap if their hair is past their ears.  These items will be required should they join the team.  Also, girls should wear a one-piece swimsuit and it's preferable if boys wear a speedo or jammer type suit for the try-out.  Again, not required for the try-out although they will be required if you join the team.  (For boys, board shorts are allowed for the try-out, however, they will not be allowed for team practices.)
