Programs Supported

The Aquatics programs at Minnetonka—as well as the Anchor Club—are dependent upon the efforts of multiple volunteers in various capacities.

We continue to see a level of participation that not only allows us to deliver programming and swim meets at a level that exceeds our expectations, but at a level that is sought after by any volunteer organization.

  • More than 220 different people, representing 172 different families volunteered for more than 1,600 job slots!!!
  • Volunteers supported 10 different events and activities during the season
  • The average family volunteered just under 11 hours during the season
  • 46 families volunteered over 20 hours
  • 4 families volunteered over 50 hours!!!

Where can you help?

We need help at all levels: from being greeters for potential swimmers during club evaluation night and first night of each session’s swim lessons, to helping with concessions and meets, to providing leadership and filling official capacities that will help us fulfill the Aquatics mission to be a national standard of excellence in community aquatics programming.

Although we do not have a requirement for volunteer hours, the expectation that you should strive to meet is 10 hours of volunteer time, per family each season.  By achieving that level of participation, we will maintain our brand and reputation for delivering some of the best swim meets around!

To help with a specific event, sign up on the Club or High School websites.

If you do not have a log-in and want to help with a specific event or job, or if you can help in a leadership role, please contact any Anchor Club Board Member; links are accessible on the Coaches page.

Please note that we are always looking for volunteers to shadow ALL skilled and leadership positions!

High School and Swim Club Officials

Every Club has an obligation to have members that become swim and dive officials.  Minnetonka Swim Club currently has two designated officials, with three more parents shadowing officials and/or taking classes. If you are interested in becoming an official, please contact Aquatics Director Craig Charlson or the Minnetonka Swim Club Head Coach Erich Welton.
