Midwestern Swimming is part of the Central Zone of USA Swimming. There are 15 Local Swimming Committees (LSCs) in the Central Zone. They are Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Lake Erie, Michigan, Midwestern, Minnesota, Missouri Valley, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Ozark, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Sectional Meets: There are three sections within the Central Zone:
Section 1 (Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin)
Region VIII (Section 2) (Arkansas, Midwestern, Missouri Valley, Oklahoma, Ozark)
Section 3 (Indiana, Lake Erie, Michigan, Ohio)
All three sections run a Spring meet and a Summer meet.
Midwestern participates in Region VIII meets.

Zone Meets: The Central Zone hosts 14 & Under Championship meets in August. Midwestern swimmers participate in the 14 & Under meets as an LSC team (Midwestern).

All Star Meets: A 14 & Under All Star meet is currently being hosted by the Aquatic Club of Elkhorn. Each LSC is allowed to have five swimmers per event per age group and a maximum of 80 swimmers per team. Midwestern does send a team to this meet. The team is chosen from applicants by the MW Age Group Chair and the head All Star coach.
