Limits on Number of Swimmer per Lane - We have waiting list for some groups

As of today, restrictions include limiting our group sizes in each lane for all programs. While these restrictions will loosen as time progresses, we must initially plan with smaller class sizes.   Therefore, if these protocols and procedures, class times, or class location will not work for your family and/or child, please let us know via email at reddingaquaducksboard@gmail.com.  Please include your name, your swimmer(s) name(s), and which program you are no longer interested in participating (Year-Round, Summer Ducks High School, Summer Ducks Youth).

  • Year-Round Swimmers please notify us no later than Monday, June 8, 2020 by noon.
  •  Summer Ducks please notify us no later than Wednesday, June 10, 2020 by noon.
  •

If we do not hear from you, we will assign your swimmer to their desired program and cash your check. Families that have requested to pay by credit card will receive an invoice via email that they may pay by credit card.    If we have more swimmers than lane availability, we will assign swimmers to lanes based as follows:

  • Year-round program: Families with active accounts. Please review the attached spreadsheet and confirm your swimmer(s) attendance.  Your swimmers will take a spot so it is imperative that you email us if your swimmer will not attend.
  • Summer Ducks:  Families that have completed the registration will be assigned to a lane based on their registration date, first-come, first-serve.
  • Swimmers/participants will receive an email when they can begin practice/instruction based on pool availability.  As of today, we expect to begin this process next week.

A Huge Thank You for Your Continued Support

We thank you for your support and commitment to swimming during this transition.  We do expect that these restrictions and protocols may lessen as we move forward into the summer months.  We appreciate your patience and understand as we navigate this “new normal” together.

Summer Ducks Swim Team

The Summer Ducks Swim Team was formed in 1996. During our first year we had 42 swimmers participate at the Shasta College pool. This past year we had 187 swimmers while utilizing three different facilities. We have five staff members including Redding Swim Team staff, high school coaches,  and current college swimmers to pass on their knowledge.

Our fun and exciting summer swimming program is an introduction to competitive swimming. We provide strong fundamentals and skills in an enthusiastic environment! This is the perfect opportunity for those first time swimmers that want to experience a new sport or high school swimmers getting ready for their upcoming season.

We provide an atmosphere where each individual has the opportunity to learn about the sport of swimming while instilling a sense of confidence and self-esteem.
