From the White group, athletes move into one of these group. Athletes in this group are usually at least 10 years old and have completed the White Group move-up skills list. This group is exposed to training for the first time while trying to prepare for a variety of races. This group will focus on building strength, stamina, and cardio needed to compete. Above all, this groups goal is developing character for everyone involved. Competitive OAC group members compete in meets on a regular basis of about one meet per month.
This is our entry level group, an athlete is required to have prior swim lessons and instruction in swimming to enter this group. Athletes will focus on learning fundamentals of the different strokes, having fun, and perfecting start and turn technique.

The Red group is composed of swimmers who have learned all four strokes, are ready to begin improving technique, and developing stamina. Members of this group are expected to train weekly and attend meets. Generally Red group members have achieved multiple "B" times for their age group.
Red Group Coach: Crystal Calderon
The Black group is our advanced group. As swimmers develop better technique and stamina they will be moved into this group. The Black group focuses on developing a competitive mindset, a high level of endurance, strength, and speed. Weights, resistance, and cardio training will used with this group to keep athletes at the top of their game. Members of this group will be upheld to the highest standards set fourth by the OAC Code of Ethics and Conduct. A positive, and coachable attitude is the first requirement for this group. Athletes of this group have committed to attend all group practices. Any absence will be communicated in advance with Coach Luke. Generally Black group members are 13 and up and have achieved at least two "A" times for their group, TAGS/Sectionals/Jr.Nationals/and National time standards. Swimmers of this group are pursuing competing at a collegiate and national level. Participation for 12 & under athletes in this group must be approved by the head coach.
