Happy return of Summer to all my lovely Wedgwood families. This will be my 16th season as a coach of this amazing team and my 30th summer involved with it in some capacity!  I can't wait to get back on those familiar pool decks and pick up where we left off last August. I hope all of you have had an incredible "off-season" and look forward to seeing you all very soon.

Hey Wedgwood Swim Team!  My favorite time of the year is just around the corner!  This will be my 7th year coaching WW swim team and 21st year as a part of the team.  We are obviously all going to miss Coach Mike, but I am confident that this is going to be an extremely exciting summer of swimming, hard work and most importantly, friends. I have spent my year taking classes at UW and working in a kindergarten class at the Experimental Education Unit.  When I have had free time from school, I mostly spend it dreaming about the summertime.

Following a chilly winter in New England at Amherst College (swimming indoors--yikes!), I am so looking forward to being back in Seattle for a summer at Wedgwood Pool. After swimming on the swim team at Wedgwood for ten summers of my life, I am super stoked to be a coach this upcoming summer. I can't wait to experience all the same energy and enthusiasm on the pool deck that I felt as a swimmer. Not even the thought of a pie to the face at Fun Day can damper my excitement about the job. Here's to another beautiful summer at Wedgwood Pool!

I learned to swim at Wedgwood Pool in the summer of 1964.  Wedgwood was the center of my summer universe growing up.  I have coached and taught swimming for over thirty years.  I have been really lucky to have my life intersect with a lot of wonderful people.  I know that Wedgwood is a place that celebrates connectedness.  I am so looking forward to immersing myself in that world again.

Hello! I could not be more excited to return to Wedgwood as an 8 & Under coach this summer. This past year I attended Grinnell College, a small liberal arts school situated amongst the cornfields in Iowa. I look forward to returning there in the fall as a second year student-athlete on the Women’s Swim and Dive team. During my time at Wedgwood, I learned to expand the traditional definition of family, how to fight like a Warrior for my team, and how to put on a lot of tattoos! I hope to share my joy for the sport and enthusiasm for the Wedgwood swim team while working with the 8 & Unders. I also cannot wait to see what they have to teach me! Let’s smear some face paint this summer!

Wedgwood is a place where I feel at home and cherish the people in this community. The swim team and being a guard has really shaped me as a person and I now feel honored to be part of the coaching staff. This past year I was a senior at Roosevelt High School, where I was captain of the swim team and had the opportunity to help coach the boys swim team side by side with Chris Holland. Next year I am proud to say I will be attending the University of Puget Sound and will be on the swim team. As I move onto new adventures I know I will carry the WW spirit along with me. This is the spirit of community, inclusion, and feeling the importance of swimming with heart.
