TEAM REMINDERS: 7/20

  • Zoom Dryland this week.
  • Tuesday we should have an update on our local situation.
  • Tomorrow am we are expecting to hear that all High School sports will be postponed until January.
  • We are also exploring out of the area possibilities. Any of these options would mean travel time and extra expense. These are not cheap possibilities.

Schedule: Week of July 20th

Monday – 7/20:

  • If you have some water –
    • Drills should include – single arm & Catch-up
    • 13 & up should be doing mixed speed freestyle – descending. N x rounds of 400-300-200-100 getting faster as the distance gets shorter.
    • 12 & under should be doing n x rounds of 3x75 – catch-up counting strokes trying to get faster every 75. Breathing every 3.
    • Kick set should be a long free kick set.
  • 3:00pm: Pre-Senior
  • 3:45pm: Black & Silver
  • 4:15pm: Senior

Tuesday – 7/21:

  • Water – should be Breast drill focus + Breast and Fly swim
    • Breast drills: Breast with dolphin work lunge, Breast with free kick work quick hands, Breast 1&1 work on riding the line.
    • 13 & up – n x rounds: 150-doing a 50 of each of the drills + 3x200 hold stroke count.
    • 12 & under – 4 x 50 of each of the drills then Swim 20x50 holding stroke count
    • Fly swim 20-40 x 25s holding stroke count and 1:1 breathing
    • Kick set Back 50s
  • 3:00pm: Pre-Senior
  • 3:45pm: Black & Silver
  • 4:15pm: Senior

Wednesday – 7/22:

  • Back drills and swim “200s”
    • Drills – Human, Marching with Rt & Lt only, Pulse if you know how, Lift & Throw – work on the acceleration of both arms after you have lifted shoulder and thumb,.
    • 13 & up – n x rounds of 2 x 100. 2nd one faster than the first. 100 CU in between rounds.
    • 12 & under – n x rounds of 4 x 50s – working harder each 50 – like a 200
    • Kick set back dolphin
  • 3:00pm: Pre-Senior
  • 3:45pm: Black & Silver
  • 4:15pm: Senior

Thursday – 7/23:

  • Fly – drill & IM swim
    • Drills: human, snow angel, 3 tap snow angel
    • N x rounds:
      • 6 x 25 Fly
      • 3 x 50 back
      • 2 x 75 breast
      • 200 free
    • Kick streamline back
  • 3:00pm: Pre-Senior
  • 3:45pm: Black & Silver
  • 4:15pm: Senior

Friday – 7/24:

  • 3:00pm: Pre-Senior
  • 4:00pm: Senior
