Training Groups

We offer training and practice groups year-round for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is our goal to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

The Charger 505 BLUE program is designed to be your swimmer’s introduction to competitive swimming.

Our highly trained coaches use practice and drills to foster correct stroke technique and development.

BLUE swimmers gain confidence in their ability to swim consecutive laps, perform the four Olympic strokes with correct technique and most of all…have FUN!

Practices are 45 minutes and offered once or twice weekly.

A low coach to swimmer ratio allows each swimmer to get personalized instruction while learning to be a part of a team.

Meet participation is not required, but will be encouraged as the swimmer progresses in both skill and strength.  Fun and safety are two of the main goals for these young athletes.

All swimmers must be able to demonstrate proficiency in freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke in order to enter the group. Ideal age of this group is 5-9 years old.

Charger 505 SILVER is the ideal group for the progressively more competitive swimmer.

Practices are held three or four times per week depending on your family and swimmer’s needs and preferences.

Water practices last one hour and include increased attention to stroke technique as well as improved endurance training.

Dryland training is offered before or after water practice to increase strength and flexibility.  Blending the personal discipline of swimming with the team environment allows young athletes to take responsibility for their success while working within a team framework.

Apart from the physical skills, swimmers learn valuable social skills that allow encourage personal growth and self-confidence!

Swimmers range in age from 8-12.

Charger 505 GOLD builds on the foundation of SILVER, incorporating advanced drills and increasing the importance of endurance training as athletes become more serious about their practice and performance.

Practice and meet attendance become more important in GOLD as swimmers continue to build strength and stamina in the pool.

Practices are 90 minutes in duration and held 4-5 times per week.

Swimmers range in age from 11-15.

Charger 505 SENIOR Group consists of swimmers age 13 and older that demonstrate the desire, discipline and commitment to becoming an elite level athlete.

An increased training intensity and meet schedule accompanies the move from GOLD to SENIOR group.

Athletes will participate in goal setting geared toward qualifying for various state and national level meets.

Senior Group swimmers swim with their high school teams on Tuesday/Friday and with CAQ505 on Monday/Wednesday/Thursday afternoons during NMAA SWIM&DIVE Season

Morning practices are also often utilized to provide more water time Senior Group athletes.
