Purple Valley Aquatics is committed to developing accomplished swimmers from the pre-age group through college levels. Our goal is to create an exciting environment that not only provides excellent teaching, training and motivation of young athletes, but also cultivates a true enjoyment of the sport. Our coaches will endeavor to instill in every team member an exceptional work ethic, a strong sense of self, the value of teamwork and sportsmanship, as well as personal achievement in and out of the pool.
About Purple Valley Aquatics
Purple Valley Aquatics, Inc. (PVA) was formed in August 2012 to provide a high quality, instructional and competitive swim team experience to children in Berkshire County and southern Vermont. PVA participates in USA Swimming events through the New England Swimming, Connecticut Swimming, and Adirondack Swimming leagues.
PVA is a Massachusetts not-for-profit corporation and has been approved for federal tax-exempt status as a 501(c)(7). PVA has a volunteer board of directors currently consisting of the head coach, several parents of swimmers, and a Williams College professor with significant swimming experience. As a non-profit organization, PVA endeavors to keep dues and meet fees as low as possible. We conduct several fundraisers during the year – including a swim-a-thon and a two-day meet – to help cover expenses. We may also solicit donations from local businesses. We expect all swimmers and parents to participate in team fundraisers as they provide financial benefits and team building experience to the entire team.
The board of directors can be reached directly at: PVABoardof [email protected].
