Welcome to the Boomers  

The Camden County Boomers Swim Club offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels.

It is the goal of the Camden County Boomers Swim Club to offer age-specific training for all of our athletes geared toward challenging and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

 

The First Step

Come by the Camden County Rec Center Pool any evening at 5:30 to try out for the team. Your swimmer will get a two week trial period for free!

Make sure to print out the Trial form here and bring it with you that first day.

 

The Second Step

You can join the team on a seasonal basis or as a yearly swimmer.  Click on the current season tab in the menu for seasonal swimmers.

Yearly swimmers, Coach will tell you which group you will be in (Bronze, Silver, or Gold) during your trial. When you register, be sure to click the appropriate group.

Equipment

Once on the team, the following equipment will be needed: (Shop and earn money to support our team at Amazon.com or Swim Outlet.com)

  1. All swimmers

Mesh Swim Bag - You can find these in the laundry section of Wal-Mart.

Fins- These can be found at the Diver's Den, Dick's Sporting Goods, or go online to our link through Amazon.

Kick Board- Should not be longer than fingertips to elbow.

Water bottle

Goggles -2 pairs

Boomer Swim Cap

  1. Senior Group

All of the above, as well as:

Pull Buoy

Paddles

 

Boomer Swim Groups:

  • Bronze Group: Our beginners who can swim at least one lap who are learning the fundamentals of each stroke, proper technique for speed and are building their endurance.
  • Silver Group: Our Intermediate group who have the knowledge of the fundamentals of each stroke and are working to improve their technique as well as to  improve their speed and endurance.
  • Gold Group: Our Senior group of swimmers who either possess the technique and speed that is competitive for the Regional, State, and/or National level or has been swimming for 2 years or more and is striving to reach that level of competition.
