Nacim Bouferrache, Head Coach
Nacim Bouferrache has been coaching and teaching swimmers of all ages for over 12 years. In that time, he has coached many State Champions, Top 10/16 swimmers, Olympic Trial Swimmers, National/Junior National swimmers, and established new State Records. Nacim started swimming competitively at age 6, and he went on to become Algerian National Champion in the 400M and 1500M freestyle nine times. At age 13, he became African Age Group Champion in the 1500M freestyle. Nacim continues to pursue his passion for swimming through his coaching, and is a certified ASCA level 2 coach. Lynn Snyder began her career teaching swimming for over six years as a teenager and has been coaching swimming for the past 12 years. She has a masters in teaching English as a second language and bilingual education. She taught for a number of years an inner city elementary kindergarden. She particularly enjoys working with younger beginning swimmers. She swam as a child, and in college she swam, played water polo. She has continued to swim as an adult on a Masters swim team. When swimming, she is always looking to improve her stroke. She believes that good technique leads to good swimming.
Jake has been coaching since 2006. He first began coaching while he was training for the 2008 Olympic Trials. As head coach of Maverick Aquatics he was awarded OSI Age Group Coach of the Year in 2012. Through his time coaching he developed a deeper interest in treating and preventing injuries in swimmers. He attended the University of Western States, and received his Doctorate of Chiropractic as well as his Masters in Exercise Sport Science/Sports Medicine in 2015. He currently practices full time in Troutdale at Mt. Hood Chiropractic Clinic.
In his free time Jake loves to spend time camping, fishing, skiing, and surfing with his wife Kaela, and his son Jaxon. Kaela is pregnant with a baby girl and is due in early August.
