Head Coach - Jasmine Castillo
Oakhurst Country Club is excited to announce that Jasmine is returning for a seventh season as Head Swim Coach for the Oakhurst Country Club Orca Swim Team. As Head Coach, she is responsible for the development, coaching and management of the Oakhurst Orca Swim Team.
Jasmine holds a Master’s of Science in Kinesiology. She swam competitively on scholarship for both San Francisco State University and the University of Texas Of The Permian Basin. Jasmine was named the first out of state swim team captain for UTPB. She has enjoyed many years of competitive swimming and sharing her passion for swimming with others.
Jasmine has been coaching swimming for over fifteen years ranging in levels from novice to collegiate. In recent years (2007-2013 & 2015-2017) she has been the Head Swim Coach of Carondelet High School. In 2010, under Jasmine’s direction, the Carondelet High School team was undefeated, North Coast Section champion and Swimming World Magazine’s National High School Team champion. Jasmine has also been personally recognized as East Bay Women’s Swim Coach of the Year 2010 and California State Women’s Swim Coach of the Year 2011. In 2013 Jasmine lead Carondelet High School to another North Coast Section championship, and was renamed East Bay Women's Swim Coach of the Year 2013.
Jasmine currently teaches at Carondelet High School, and enjoys her summer vacations coaching for the Oakhurst Orcas. She is grateful to lead and be a part of this very special Orca family.
Assistant Coach - Mark Ennis
Mark is thrilled to be returning to the Oakhurst family as an Assistant Swim Coach this summer. This will be Mark’s sixth year as Assistant Coach of the Oakhurst Orcas.
Mark began swimming at the age of 6 for the Walnut Country Swim Team and made the switch to the Valley Vista Barracudas at the age of 7, where he was consistently county ranked in Backstroke as well as IM, Freestyle and Breaststroke. With a love of swimming he made the decision to go year round and swam for the Walnut Creek Aquabears from the age of 10 until 13. Returning to rec swimming during his junior year at De La Salle, Mark county qualified in Backstroke, IM and Breastroke.
Mark graduated from Mercyhurst University in 2014 as a double major in English and Religious Studies. He currently works as a Sales Rep for Zumo and shares his summers with the Orca family.
Assistant Coach -Nicole Amberg
Nikki is very happy to continue her journey with the Oakhurst family as an Assistant Swim Coach this summer. This will be Nikki’s third year as Assistant Coach of the Oakhurst Orcas.
Nikki began her swimming career at the age of 2 for the Sycamore Stingrays. Then at the age of 5 she moved to the Crow Canyon Sea Lions and qualified for for country each year until she began swimming year round for the Crow Canyon Sharks. Nikki continued her swimming career in high school under the direction of Head Coach Jasmine Castillo at Carondelet where she qualified for North Coast Section, and was a part of the NCS winning team in 2013. Nikki graduated from Carondelet in 2016, and is currently entering her junior year at Texas Christian University in the Fall. Nikki is proud to help everyone in the Orca family achieve their summer goals, and she is excited to spend another summer season with the Orca family.
Assistant Coach (14 & under) - Erick Iannaccone
Erick is very excited to have the opportunity of being with the Oakhurst family again this summer. This will be his second year as an Assistant Coach for the Oakhurst Orca’s 12 & under age groups.
Erick began swimming at the age of 4 for the Brentwood Dolphins. He was a county high point winner at the age of 12 then began his year round swimming career. Erick swam Varsity at De La Salle High School qualifying for North Coast Sections as an individual and State in a relay. He was also honored with becoming a team captain during his senior year. Erick graduated from De La Salle in 2017 and is currently entering his sophomore year at the University of San Diego. Erick is looking forward to spending another summer around the pool deck with the Orcas.
Assistant Coach (10 & under) - Georgia Moraes
Georgia is so excited to be coming back to the Oakhurst family as an Assistant Swim Coach (9-10 & under) for a second year.
Georgia started swimming at the age of 6 for the Oakhurst Orcas and is going on her 12th season as a member of the team. She was a junior coach for two seasons, and has been an Orca county qualifier multiple years in a row. Georgia has continued her swimming career at Clayton Valley Charter High School as a member of the high school swim team where she was awarded Junior Varsity MVP. Academically Georgia is currently a part of the Clayton Valley Public Service Academy. Georgia is thrilled to continue her role as an Assistant Coach for the Orca family and is looking forward to another amazing season.
