Swim Group Coaches

Ducklings D2 Group

The Ducklings D2 group will focus on skills primarily, with an introduction to simple training sets. Swimmers should also meet all of the criteria from above. This group will participate in swim meets and will be the primary attenders at the spring novice series, as listed on the team events schedule, as well as all other C/B/A+ meets that the coach feels are appropriate.

Coach: Crystal

Purples Group

The Purple group will still focus predominantly on technique, but will also introduce more endurance work, as well as race strategy and pacing. Clockwork is introduced in this group. Swimmers in Purples are expected to attend the team C/B/A+ meets on the team's events calendar and will be encouraged to race in a wide variety of events.

Coach: Haley Hole

Silvers Group

Silver swimmers will still be actively engaged in improving their technical skills and their stroke mechanics. Introduced in this group will be racing skills and endurance work that will allow them to excel in the longer, more tactical races that are introduced in the 11-12 age group and above. Silver swimmers will be expected to attend the team C/B/A+ meets on the events calendar as well as any championship meets that are qualified for. Silvers will swim 5x week for 90 minutes each session.

Coach: Jodi Farrell

Pre-Seniors Group

This high level training group will swim 5x week for 120 minutes and will be introduced to dryland training, including running, stretching, circuit training, and medicine ball training. Pre-Senior swimmers will be expected to attend the team C/B/A+ meets on the events calendar as well as any championship meets qualified for.

Coach: Marie Reynolds

Seniors Group

The Senior group is our highest level training group, demanding the most dedication and effort. At this level, swimmers technique should only need fine tuning. The goals for Senior swimmers should include qualification for championship meets and swimmers will have their eyes on collegiate swimming. Practices range from once to twice a day, 6 days/week. Training will include swimming, weightlifting, circuit training, running, and medicine ball. Senior swimmers will be expected to attend selected team C/B/A+ meets, Senior circuit meets, and all championship meets that are qualified for.

Coach: Dea Ann Joslin
