Old Farm 2018 Coaching Staff
Head Coach - Kristen Scott
Coach Kristen has been a member of the FINS coaching staff for 7 years. This will be Kristen’s fifth season as a coach at Old Farm. Kristen swam at TW for 10 seasons and swam competitively at RMSC for 8 seasons. Kristen loves to cheer on her swimmers at meets and knows that the spirit outside of the pool is just as important as the strokes you take during your race. GOOF!
Assistant Head Coach - Danny Charlip:
Danny spent 10 seasons swimming with the Old Farm Eagles until he aged out in 2013. He also swam for RMSC and for WJ for four years on the Varsity team. Danny enjoys being able to coach the team that he grew up swimming on, and he especially loves being able to teach young swimmers the same traditions and cheers that he was taught as a young swimmer. The strong community feel at his neighborhood pool makes him want to come back every year. He is excited to compete against Division H competition while having fun everyday with the team this season.
Since 2013 Danny has been coaching with FINS where he has continued to learned the ins and outs of running an MCSL team and coaching over 100 swimmers ages 2 to 18. He cannot wait to continue to contribute to Old Farm this season and help the team have a blast and swim fast!
Assistant Coach - Celine Nugent:
Coach Céline has enjoyed swimming since starting with Rockville Montgomery Swim Club at the age of five and has worked her way up to the National Training Group. As captain of Walter Johnson High School Swim and Dive, Céline was the state champion in the 200 IM and was selected for the 2016 Washington Post All met second team her junior year. She is studying and continuing her swimming career at Georgia Institute of Technology where she hopes to study Business. Céline currently swims at TW, where she has been a Dolphin for 12 years. Céline has been coaching with FINS for 4 years and loves to have fun with the kids! She looks forward to coaching the Eagles this summer. Go Old Farm!
Assistant Coach - Danny Dunn
Danny is excited to be back on the Old Farm coaching staff for the 2018 season! He spent 9 years swimming with the Eagles until he aged out in 2017, and since then has continued to swim for the Division III Vassar College Swim & Dive Team. Danny loves being able to coach the team that he grew up swimming on and pass along the cheers and love for swimming that he learned as a kid. He swam for the RMSC Senior group and the Walter Johnson Swim & Dive Team, and has been a coach for FINS Swimming for 2 years. Danny is looking forward to his 3rd year coaching at Old Farm and hopes to lead the team to Division G greatness!
Madeleine (Moosie) can’t wait to be part of the Old Farm coaching staff this summer. She started swimming for Old Farm when she was 5 years old and has loved every second of it. She has also swum on the Walter Johnson Swim and Dive team. Additionally, she has been a volunteer for pre-team and Little Eagles at Old Farm for the past several years. Moosie can’t wait to help make this season Old Farm’s best one yet! GOOF!
Olivia is extremely excited to be returning for her second season coaching at Old Farm. She has been a coach for FINS Swimming for the past five years, and has swum on Tilden Woods Swim Team since the age on 9. In the fall she will be continuing her studies at the University of California Berkeley where she hopes to study neuroscience. Olivia cannot wait for another fun filled season! Go Old Farm!
Camille Hoffman Delett
Camille began swimming in MCSL at the Old Georgetown Swim Club at the age of 7 and continued until she graduated last summer. She also swam competitively for RMSC and the Walter Johnson High School varsity swim team for four years. During her senior year she was also a coach with FINS. Camille loved coaching OF last season and seeing her swimmers have fun and improve. She is very excited to return and is looking forward to another great season with OF!
Alex is very excited to be a part of the Old Farm summer swimming staff for 2018. Alex has been swimming since he was 9 years old. He has grown up swimming summers with the Rockville Rays and working with the little Rays as a junior coach. He has been swimming competitively for about 7 years with the Rockville Montgomery Swim Club and for several years with Georgetown Day School. Alex looks forward to a fun-filled summer with Old Farm!
Emma Lenz-Mann is excited to start her first year on the Old Farm coaching staff! She has years of experience assistant coaching the Old Farm Pre-Team and Little Eagles programs and has been a coach with FINS for the past 2 years. As a part of USA swimming for as long as she can remember, she is excited to bring that knowledge to Old Farm swimmers. Emma cannot wait to coach! GOOF!
